Hello Ballarat triathlon club community! I am here with the December edition of monthly news.

At the start of the month; Ross Clark competed in the Geelong Surf Coast Cycling Club Supervets handicap road race, where Ross came 3rd. Well done Ross!

The following week was the 2nd race of the 2xu triathlon series, in Brighton. Ballarat tri club saw tons of great placings, with Lousie Wood 1st , Marie-Camille Repecaud 6th, Molly Voss 9th, Jonas 19th in their AG and Adam 9th in JE. Well done all.

After the 2xu race Molly Voss raced the Summer Spritz Womenโ€™s crit in Coburg CC. Keep up the good work Molly!

Then towards the end of the month Logan Leonard and Adam Conway went up to Queensland for the Super Sprint race weekend which is also the Junior national championship. It was a great weekend to race some elite juniors from around the country. Awesome work.

Recently was the Rip to River run in Ocean Grove, where the Wood family did the 10k! Lousie came 5th in her category with a time of 40:59! Andrew 3rd in his category in 49:10! And Bec 8th in 43:15! All very quick times.

Races to look out for in January are 2xu race 3, Echuca Tri Club sprint tri and the Cadel Evans road race. Good luck to everyone competing in these races.

Also the 2nd local Lake Esmond event (Triathlon/duathlon) is on the 1st of February, and we would love to see as many people there as possible! So get keen!

Hope everyone has had a great Christmas and a good New Year.
-Adam

Hello Ballarat tri club community! This is November edition of the monthly recap!!
Novemberโ€™s been jam packed with races as the tri season has fully kicked off.

To start off with Darcy Williams has been tearing up the track racing both Milers round 1 and Aths Vic 5km championships. Darcy ran a lightning 8:37 for 3k and followed it up the next week with a 14:37 for 5k. I also competed in milers and missed the sub 9min mark but happy to run 9:04.

On the 22nd of November members Bailey and Chase Tuddenham both competed in the Laguna Phuket triathlon all the way in Thailand. Chase came 5th in the sprint race and Bailey came 5th in the Pro field.

The following day (23rd) was the first race of the 2xu triathlon series. With lots of rain overnight stirring up the water quality the swim was replaced with a sharp beach run. Then, with very miserable weather conditions the race still took place. Darcy took the win in the Elite Male field, and Lesley West came second in the womenโ€™s field. Matthew Facey came 20thin his age group and Louise Wood came 3rd in her category as well. I also competed in my first junior elite race. Well done to all who competed!

On the following weekend we saw Jude Channon and Olivia Marr compete in the state aquathon championships in Shepparton. Jude came 2nd in her age group and Olivia came 5th! Great work! Then Jonas Martin ran the 2xu wellness run half marathon who came 13th in his age group and ran a speedy time of 1:20!

Other races include the Torquay tri; despite very cold water and conditions, Woody came 4th in his AG, Louise 3rd, and Molly and Chase came 2nd in their respective categories! And I won my AG as well. Also well done to everyone who competed in the Noosa tri! Shoutout to Baliey T who came 16th overall, Patrick Hawks who came 6th in the open category and Chase T for coming 9th in his AG. Then Olivia Marr did the 70.3 in 6:05. Awesome job!

Shout-out to everyone who competes. We love hearing about all our members racing, so if anyone has any races just contact me or the president (mum) as we would love to include all results for any races in these recaps.

Looking forward to more racing coming in December! Go BTC
