About the Event:
These days are for motorcycle road riders who would like to experience riding on a race track. They give the opportunity to go faster than allowed on a public road, test the limits of both bike and rider in a controlled situation.
There is also the opportunity to learn from other riders how to brake, corner and ride in all conditions safely. This is not a race event.
These days are open to;
Annual Recreational and one event Recreational licenses
Any solo bike, including track only bikes
Any tire choice including slicks
These days are NOT open to;
Race Riders
Riders on competition licenses
Juniors
Sidecars
Sign on for the day commences at approximately 7.30am and the first track sessions should commence at approximately 9.00am after the Rider Briefing. All riders must attend the Rider Briefing.
The Clerk of Course will establish groups based on the riders that have signed on (i.e. Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced) and then, depending on the number of groups, sessions will generally be of 15-20 minutes duration. We find that 15 minutes is sufficient so that fatigue doesn’t set in too early in the day.
We will stop for a lunch break somewhere between 12.00 and 1.00pm and then resume sessions with the last session finishing at approximately 4.00pm.
Although we do not have bike Scrutineering at a Recreation Ride Day it is expected that your bike be in a sound and roadworthy condition otherwise the Clerk of Course will ask that you leave the Circuit until the bike is rectified. Any glass on your bike (i.e. mirrors, headlight) should be taped over.
You will need to have full leathers (two piece is acceptable so long as they zip together and there is no skin showing), back brace, ASA approved helmet, leather riding boots and gloves.
