Focus on gain, not loss.

When you are moving towards something, instead of thinking about what you are missing out on and what you have to give up…

Focus instead on what you are moving towards and the person you are becoming.

For example, don’t focus on that you can’t eat the chocolate cake or the ice cream, instead focus on you being the version of you that you want to be and how the small choices you are making will allow you to have what it is that you want to have.

Just by making that small switch, you won’t fight yourself.
It won’t be you against you.
It will be you with you.

There are lots of benefits to ice bath/cold therapy.
But my personal favorite is learning to have power over your nervous system.

See, if you can calm your body in freezing cold water, then you can most likely calm your body anywhere.

The ice is just a stress, learn to overcome the stress of ice and you’ll learn to overcome the stress of life.

Surprise: There is no #1 best exercise that suits everyone.

There are no good or bad exercises, whether an exercise is good or bad is dependent upon what you are bringing to the table with your body and how you move.

There is no exercise that you HAVE to do.

Exercises are just tools to help you achieve your goal but there is usually many different tools to choose from.

What we have to do is look at you as an individual, your structure and how you move, then look at what you are actually training for.

From there we can determine which movements are going to best for you to move you towards your goal in a way that is highly effective and efficient.

How do you finish 2021 feeling successful with your health?🤔

☝️The first step comes from making the decision that you want to be, feel, and look better.

Then you need to self assess:
🤷What exactly do you want to achieve?
📍Where are you at right now?

THEN you can begin bridging the gap between your current and future lifestyle and start to become the person you want to be.

How do you know what exercises you should be doing...

There is no good or bad exercise.
Whether an exercise is good or bad is dependent upon what you are bringing to the table.

With what you are bringing to the table, is that movement beneficial to you? Or is there too much risk?

Nothing will slow down progress more than an injury will!👏

The goal of a training plan is to have movements that move you towards your particular goal… but in a way where it is maximal benefit and minimal risk.

The only way to know if a movement is on the benefit side is by understanding how to assess if your body has the ability to meet the positions needed to perform the exercise.

If you're not assessing, you're guessing.🤷

What's the REAL difference between Real Food vs Food Like Products?

"The further we move away from nature, the sicker we become". When viewed in the context of food this quote is eerily true!

Food was never meant to be difficult, but modern society has vastly overcomplicated it...

This over-complicated food is BLOCKING us from our ability to learn to connect with how you feel while eating certain foods.

When you eat highly processed, packaged, "food-like" products, how do you feel?
VS.
When you eat real food, how do you feel?

😵Your family and friends are stopping you from your GOALS!

Scary right? 👻

Well fortunately, this isn't really the case…

I have seen that time and time again when new clients are asked

"What kept you from accomplishing (INSERT GOAL) previously?" they are quick to 👉blame👈 outside causes.

And Yeah! Having a family that only eats junk can be a road block🛑, but at the end of the day, the reason you fell off the wagon is YOU.

My transition, and many other's, into true health looked a lot like these 3 ideas.

1. Dabbling with supplements/vitamins
2. Then feeling BOLD enough to drink a glass of greens.

3.❤️But the best transition is when you are ready to incorporate real foods, like vegetables, into your meals.

🚨To NEVER feel HANGRY again, read this caption.🚨

Being HANGRY sucks!

You know, that point of hunger when you just can’t take it?

That point where you need food ASAP or your head might blow?!🤯

Well it’s because you let your Hunger Scale get out of balance!

When your hangry you are down to a 1, and when this happens you’ll probably over eat to make up for how you feel.

But that is the WRONG move, because eating until you have to unbutton your pants means you are at the other side of the scale, you’re at a 🤯10.

Our goal each day Should be to keep a balanced hunger scale.

Not starving ourselves,
not eating too much,
always staying nice and balanced.

That means you start eating when you get to a 3 or 4, instead of a 1.

And that you stop eating when you get to a 7 or an 8 instead of a 10.

So where are you currently on your Hunger Scale?
