🌟NEW TEAM MEMBER ALERT! 🌟
As we kick off Term 3, we are thrilled to officially welcome ANNA HODGE to the SMDS teaching team!
Anna has been training in the styles of Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary and Lyrical for over 10 years, and we have been fortunate to have her as an SMDS student for the past 4.5 years. In the past 18 months, Anna has been working as a trainee teacher under the guidance of Soraya and Zenaye McKee where she has absolutely thrived in this role.
In 2025 Anna completed her Cert. III in Dance and after graduating high school, she expressed an interest in potentially teaching at SMDS and her dedication and development as a trainee, as well as her ability to relate to our students as she carefully encourages and motivates them is second to none.
Anna is also a well known performer in the local musical theatre scene, performing with BLOC and Ballarat Lyric Theatre Productions, regularly. She is a standout performer in these roles and her presence and professionalism on and off the stage shows a maturity well beyond her years.
Anna is already a very loved and admired SMDS member by staff and students alike, and has transitioned into a teaching position so effortlessly!
We welcome Anna and look forward to the exciting things she will offer our students and studio in years to come 🧡🧡🧡
