Winter is here. A season of restoration, reflection and replenishment. The most yin time of year. Here in Ballarat, during Wurrin season in the Wurundjeri calendar, it is a season that can feel long, quiet and at times isolating. And yet, winter asks something different of each of us.
For some, this season calls for movement, connection and shared spaces. For others, it might mean slower mornings, longer rests, more stillness, more time alone. The beauty is that you get to choose how you show up. Always.
This is one of the reasons we don’t run challenges or competitions. We don’t want to tell you how often you should move, what movement should look like, or what this season should feel like for you.
Instead, we’ll continue to be here. The lights will be on. The classes will run. The space will be warm. Whether you come often, occasionally, or take the time you need, you’ll be welcomed exactly as you are.
This Winter, and in all seasons, let us continue to honour what you’re being called towards with kindness.
