East Point Dragons Girls and Women's Football Club AFL Football for girls and women of all ages If you are a female and looking to play Aussie Rules Football then we would love you to play at the Dragons.

In 2023 we will be offering an all female Auskick and the full pathway for all age groups in the BFLW competition. Auskick (ages 5-12)
U/14's (ages 10-14)

U/18's (ages 17-18)

UMPIRING OPPORTUNITY

We have some amazing multi-player umpires across our club, and this is a great opportunity to get involved, give it a go, and see if umpiring is something for you!

Please see below an opportunity directed at any female within your club (players/officials etc..) who may have an interest in giving umpiring a go!

This isn’t designed to take players away from clubs, there is an opportunity to still do both (play & umpire). These sessions are simply a come and try and an opportunity to learn more about umpiring for next season.

Program Details:
2x1 hr sessions

2026 NATIONAL AFL COMMUNITY COACH OF THE YEAR

A massive congratulations to our Under 16s Coach Cam Bennett, on being named the 2026 National Coach of the Year!

This prestigious award recognises the best Community Male Coach across Australia, making this an incredible achievement for Cam and our club.

Cam is currently the Head Coach of our Under 16s, and this year also served as the Head Coach of the BFLW Under 15 Female Interleague team.

His coaching experience includes:
2022–23: Assistant Coach- East Point Dragons U14s
2024–25: Head Coach- East Point Dragons U14s
2025: Head Coach- BFLW U14 Interleague
2025: Assistant Coach- U15 GWV Rebels V/Line
2025–26: Assistant Coach- U16 GWV Rebels

WOMEN BFLW SENIOR PRESENTATION

A massive congratulations to Katie McAloon and Millie Stewart on being selected in the BFLW Senior Women’s Team of the Year!
Katie has been named at Half Back, while Millie has been selected as a Follower in the Midfield.

Our Co-Captain and Assistant Coach Katie, played just six games during the home-and-away season after suffering a knee injury towards the end of pre-season. Despite this setback, she returned to the field and has been thrown around the ground throughout the season, playing Half Back, Midfield, Ruck and Half Forward. An incredible effort to still earn her place in the Team of the Year!

For Millie, this is her first season of Senior Football! Millie has played 15 years of Soccer. She played one season for the Dragons in 2016 but has returned to East Point this season. She has been thrown into almost every position on the field, but has primarily found her home in the midfield.

What a fantastic achievement for both girls! Congratulations❤️🤍💙

UNDER 19 BFLW SENIOR PRESENTATION

A massive congratulations to Keisha Darroch on an incredible season, placing Runners-Up in the League Best & Fairest with 17 votes!
Lily Mason was just one vote behind, finishing in 3rd place with 16 votes. It came right down to the final round!

Congratulations also to Madi Dixon, who took home the Most Valuable Player Award with 22 votes!
The MVP votes were awarded by opposition coaches after each game, with coaches awarding 3, 2 and 1 vote to the best opposing players they coached against. Keisha also finished tied 4th in the MVP voting.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Keisha Darroch, Lily Mason, Madi Dixon and Willow Klaver were all selected in the Under 19 Girls Team of the Year!

What an incredibly successful season for our Under 19's. Congratulations girls, what an amazing achievement! ❤️🤍💙

PRELIMINARY FINAL

Head down to MARS Stadium this Sunday to cheer on our Under 19 Girls as they take on North Ballarat for a spot in the BFLW Grand Final!

Last week, the girls faced Redan in the Semi Final and came away with a 21 point victory. It was one of their strongest performances of the season, and if they can carry that momentum into this week, we are in for a fantastic game!

The two sides have faced each other three times throughout the season, with North Ballarat coming away with the win on each occasion. However, our girls have never made it easy for them, putting up a fierce fight every time.

Come down, get behind the girls and help cheer them into the Grand Final! ❤️🤍💙
