Our final week of the season has been and gone. We would like to celebrate all our teams who have completed a fantastic year! We are so proud of our players and coaches for what everyone has accomplished and are very excited for the first week of finals for those who qualified!
We would also like to thank our new friendly neighbours in Ryan’s IGA across the road at Pleasant Street. The team at Ryan’s were kind enough to share some fresh fruit for all our players to enjoy through the last home games. We are very appreciative of this and we know the fruit brought a smile and some energy to all our players and supporters!
See how the last week of the season ended up for our teams below:
Our U/7s put on a great game as they communicated well with each other and, most importantly, had lots of fun. We faced a small challenge during the game, but we stayed positive, worked together, and got through it as a team. Overall, it was a great experience and everyone enjoyed themselves.
U8s played against Forest this week in what was a very entertaining final game. The boys played incredibly well, especially Lenny, who ended the day with 4 goals!
The U/9 Red team finished off at home against Vic Park. The game was very end to end, finishing in goals for both teams as all the players from both teams came away with a hard fought result 👏 .The team is happy with the season they produced with everyone excited for what is next!
Our U/9 White team played against Ballarat City. The team was able to score lots of goals, with everyone finishing the season with some fantastic football!
Our U/11 Red team finished their season off against Vic Park. it was a great performance with Coach Macca very proud of the efforts from every player throughout the year!
Our U/11 White team played against Ballarat CIty this week. The game was a challenging one but Coach Harry remains very proud of what he has seen all year. Coach Will also shares his pride, being very happy to be a part of the team this year!
Under 11 girls finished out the year with a tough game against Ballarat North. First ten minutes had high energy with a big crowd cheering them on and some cheers at the end when they realised no one has to age up next year 😀
Our U/12s had a very difficult game against Forest, but were all in good spirits from both sides and spectators . Forset showed why they are top of the ladder and have only lost 1 game.
Coach Kye is hoping to have all the players return in season 202 for some more competitive fun!
The U/13 Girls had a loss against an older Vic Park team, but despite the loss showed brilliant passing play as they have done all year. Congrats to all the girls on a fantastic season
The U15 girls finished out the regular season with a 5-0 win against North. The girls played well, using the game as a chance to practise their routines and plays for finals next week. It was a great way to finish the season, and I'm looking forward to finals next week!
U/16 Black played their best game of the season against our Ballarat White U/16s as everyone put in a shift and really showed how far they have come this season. A great way to end the season
Under 16 White came out on top against the black team, in a hotly contested derby. Both teams gave their all in what was a very good game to watch. Full steam ahead now towards finals!
