Why rest matters.
As the term draws to a close, I find myself returning into something simple yet often and overlooked: the importance of rest.
Rest is not a withdrawal from life, but a return to the capacity to meet it. When the nervous system is allowed to settle, clarity returns. The body softens its holding, the mind its grasping. Attention becomes more spacious and creative.
In our weekly classes, we explore this through gentle asanas, yoga nidra, pranayama, and meditation - practices not orientated toward effort or achievement, but toward listening, sensing, and allowing.
This is a space to pause the momentum of daily demands and return to a quieter rhythm within.
