One thing we all learned today at Kyneton Bowling Club is that you cant spell BALLAN without ANNE!!
The boss Anne Draffen has done it again !! Winning the ladies Champion of Champions again for the second year running, in a stunning performance in both finals.
In beautiful conditions Anne put in a great performance from start to finish, After the win Anne mentioned how well the green was running and how amazing her supporting crew was right throughout the finals series and she couldn’t do it without them.

We are all in awe or Annes achievements and we look forward to many more successes to come over the coming months as she represents the indoors squads

Evening bowlers,

Firstly a huge congrats to our Tuesday Div 2 team who overcame the elements at Ballarat to win their way straight through to the Grand Final on Tues 10th March 👏👏

Anne Draffen had two super wins on Sunday and is through to the Semi final of the BHBR Champion of Champions which will be played at Kyneton on Mon 9th March - anyone who can get over there to support would be appreciated. 💪💪

This Saturday we have both Div 2 and Div 9 playing their first final at Victoria bowling club.
The bus will be leaving the club at 11:30 to get there in time for a roll up prior to the game.

Can all players please let us know Thursday whether you will be on the bus or going direct. All supporters welcome - please let me know if you're planning on coming on the bus so that we have enough seats for everyone!

Just a reminder to let the guys know how many are coming this Saturday night for the amazing Marty Luke music n stuff Bec Peel Music will be playing live at the club after Pennant has been completed, and food provided by the famous team at Tex-Oz Smokehouse Werribee!

This week being the final home and away match for the season it calls for a celebration bring your families along for a great night out.

Some must win games this week to keep the season alive

It is with great Sadness the Ballan Bowling Club and all its members past and present, pass on or most deepest of Sympathies and condolences to Dave Myers and Erin Myers on the passing of their Beloved Wife and Mum Pat Myers, Pat showed incredible strength and will power in her life and was a great supporter of the Club for over 40 years. She will be greatly missed ! the clubs flag flies at half mast and all our bowlers will wear black armbands in memory of Pats life today

At Pat’s Request there will be a private funeral for her Family followed by a remembrance of her life at the club on Tuesday 10th February from 1pm

We send all our love, strength and support to Dave and Erin during this time 💐

Another great Premier Fencing Fours thanks greatly to Luke and Mick for continuing to sponsor an awesome tournament and congratulations to the learmonth boys coming away the winners! 🏆
Thanks to all teams that participated, special thanks to Lynn and all the ladies in the kitchen the food was a massive hit, Eddie and all the people That helped with the busy bar 🍺
Lovey and his team with the green and surrounds the wind made it quite tricky.
Murray and Sloany for running the event it was faultless and to all the volunteers who helped thoughtout the day it was a great team effort!!

Well done to all involved

Look forward to doing it all again next year

Just a reminder today is Bowl For Your Lives today and at the Ballan Bowls Club we are showing our support by wearing the Black shirts today for pennant! We will also be raising funds for mental health through the day.

Hiya crew! Apology for the long post, but we have a lot happening

Hope you're all staying safe and cool, over the last few days!!

Members jackpot 🎰 of $200 this Thursday after Leanne Conroy was not in n attendance last week.

☀️ Tuesday Teams all heated out today, Div 2 still in 2nd and Div 4 staying out of the relation zone in 7th.

This week is Mental health Round so please wear your shirts if you ordered one. If not just your normal pennant shirt, if you would like one and cannot afford one at this stage please see Anne Draffen , Greg Heverin or Owey and it will stay confidential 🤐

We will be doing a meat tray 🥩 raffle to be drawn at the break, $5 per ticket, tickets will be sold from Thursday and Friday nights and also before the bus leaves for those playing away - all proceeds donated to the Bowl For Your Lives charity, please sure your support!

21 and 100 up draws have been done and are on the board please play them in your own time and dont delay

The club has plenty of players water and icy poles on standby for anyone that would like some

Hi Everyone

We have heard reports that some clubs are contacting their opposition for today’s game and agreeing to just not play and share the points.

This is not allowable within the Conditions of Play as it has the potential to disrupt the integrity of ladder positions.

A number of clubs have already arranged to start their games early in an effort to have at least 75% of their ends played prior to 12.00pm (when the temperature is forecast to reach 36 degrees).

It is the decision of the Match Committee and the Board that if a match is not played under the current Conditions of Play, the match will be forfeited by the relevant team or teams who do not turn up to play (either the home team or the away team or both) and no points will be allocated.
