Some unfortunate news for the club...

Sometime between Monday evening and Tuesday mid-morning this week, the club had been broken in to. The culprits managed to break and destroy the lock box, using the stolen keys to then gain entry into the clubrooms. They have then proceeded to find more keys and used them to help themselves to the entire fridge of drinks - soft drinks, juice boxes, water, powerade. They have also taken our large plastic tubs and bins to then transport these away, breaking the locks on the canteen window roller door in the process.

Along with the drinks, they have also cleared out the clubrooms of lollies, chocolate, chips etc.

2 large portable speakers, one brand new and in a box with microphones were also taken, along with some camp chairs that were frequently used by club patrons.

This is unfortunately the second time this has happened within the space of a month, with very similar things stolen previously.

The police have been assisting, and taken fingerprints and DNA of some particular items that will absolutely be of use in identifying these offenders.

We ask that as supporters of our small club, if the community could please keep and eye and ear out for any information on the possible whereabouts of any of these stolen items, the speakers in particular as shown below, and to please either get in touch or call the Donnybrook Police with the information.

We rely heavily on the massive and much appreciated support of our volunteers, and it is really disheartening to have thieves try and take advantage of such a small club. Not only does it cost us in replacing all these stolen items, but also in repairing and securing the club to prevent this from further happening.
