⚽️COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT⚽️
While we are still extremely sad we can no longer offer you futsal, we are VERY excited to announce that our sister competition Wollongong Summer 7's has found a new home at Vikings Rugby Club Swan St Wollongong on their superb grass pitch!
More details to come soon

Uni Futsal is Illawarra's premier Fustal/ Indoor Soccer competition run at the Wollongong University Sports Hub. Competitions run Monday and Wednesday for mixed, men's and women's teams.

Thanks Illawarra Mercury for showcasing our extremely sad news we shared with our current 600 + members this week.
We would like to confirm with our community that the UOW Pulse comments regarding 'negotiations' and the failure to come to a 'mutually satisfactory arrangement' are incorrect. We were refused hire within the Sports HUB and were not supported to be accomodated elsewhere on campus, nor were we permitted to engage and look at upgrading / repurposing other facilities in order to continue.
Again, we would love to thank the approximate 10,000 individuals that have played Futsal with us over the past 15 years.

A popular community indoor sports competition has been told it cannot return to its home in 2024.

⚽️COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT⚽️
It is with great frustration and sadness that we share the news that Uni Futsal will not be hosting Futsal Competitions at UOW for 2024.
This news comes after a decision from UOW and UOW Pulse (Sports Facility Management) that the University would like to pursue different avenues of business (hosting external events such as exhibitions, concerts and conferences) as well as partner with elite sports clubs (Wollongong Wolves, Dragons and South Coast Blaze).
What this means is that courts and facilities across campus have been given to these clubs in order to train and compete or have 2-4 week events planned, leaving no space for us to run our futsal competitions for you.
This is a shock after a 15 year relationship with the University, where we offered a successful community engagement program to introduce the community to the University and Students.
We will still be hosting our annual Summer 7s Competition commencing September, but for now all futsal will no longer be offered.
We appreciate your patronage, support and will of course keep you updated should anything change and we can commence again.
