We would like to welcome Mick Baylis and his team to the unlimited class. He made the decision to step up after he had purchased a hull from over east which was the old Loose Cannon. He is now frantically putting the LS twin turbo package in the boat. Mick was a very consistent driver in the LS class and it has been great to see him improve over the seasons since he started. Looking forward to seeing what Mick and his new combo can do, I think he will put on a show for us all.

Exciting news we have Mick Darwen returning back to the sport. Mick is also returning with the world's fastest LS boat Ripshift. Mick had started racing at WCJSC in 2010 he was rookie of the year and runner up in the 350 class. Mick then headed over east and raced a couple of seasons in the 350 and the group A classes with a few podium finishes at Cabba, Melton and Temora. Mick will have the current unlimited world champion Phonsy Mullan as well as the current world LS champion Bastian Mullan current Australian LS champion Nate Mullan from GM Motorsport supporting him during his return to the sport. Well done securing a world champion boat and crew.

One team hard at work getting their new ride ready for the upcoming season. I can tell you this is an unlimited boat, I wonder what package is going in behind the driver and navigator.

As you may know we had a bit of a shaky season earlier this year, with limited boats and rounds. With a heck of a lot of work done behind the scenes and still more to do, we have turned a corner and we are all looking forward to the start of the next season later this year, with more rounds and certainly more boats. Thank you, to everyone supporting the West Coast Jetsprint Club

🚨 Season Update 🚨

To our racers, supporters, volunteers, and fans —

We wanted to share an honest update with our community about where things are at.

After a lot of discussion and work behind the scenes, we’ve made the difficult decision that there will be no further race events held for the remainder of this season.

We want to be clear — all events held so far this season have been run safely and in line with the requirements in place at the time. We’re incredibly proud of how our team, officials, and competitors have conducted themselves.

However, as we look ahead, there are a number of important operational and compliance requirements that need to be worked through before we can continue running events. Rather than push ahead while those pieces are still being finalised, we’ve made the call to pause and make sure everything is properly in place.

We know this is disappointing — especially for our racers, volunteers, and the spectators who support us so strongly. We feel that too.

The positive is that a lot of work is already underway, and this process will help set the club up for a stronger, more sustainable future.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as things progress, and we genuinely appreciate the patience and support from our community while we work through this.

We can’t wait to be back on the water with you all 💥
