The Northern Districts Gymnastic Club (NDGC) was originally established in 1973 and since that time, has maintained a strong commitment to providing people of all ages and skill level opportunities to participate in gymnastic activities. NDGC has proved itself as a significant contributor to the sport of gymnastics with a long history of club members competing at State, National and International

Competitions including the Olympic Games and with the popularity of our recreational programs attracting participation of people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience gymnastics. NDGC provides opportunities for gymnasts to train as coaches, which we believe is crucial to the further progression of gymnastics in Western Australia. Participating members of NDGC recreational, development, club levels and squad programs enjoy an increased level of physical fitness, discipline and generally positive outlook and some of the members achieve very high levels of expertise within the sport.

A great weekend of competition for our State Level 3 & 4 WAG athletes at Series 3! 🤸‍♀️✨

The girls all competed really well, with lots of great improvements and some fantastic performances across the board. It was fantastic to see the progress they’ve been making in training come through in their routines and performances on the competition floor!

🇦🇺MAG Senior National Training Camp Wrap-Up

A fantastic week at Australian Institute of Sport | AIS with Luc, making the most of the opportunity to train alongside Australia’s best and work with the national coaching team.

The focus throughout the week was on the small details that will make a big difference over the next 12 months. We worked on refining Luc’s technique, improving his positions and building the foundations for his next stage of training.

There was also plenty of quality work across the week, including some really encouraging sessions on high bar and rings.

It was great to work alongside the national coaches, share ideas and bring home plenty of new drills and progressions that we can put into practice at NDGC.

A big thank you to Gymnastics Australia, the AIS and the national coaching team for creating such a valuable training environment.

A great week of learning, training and planning for what’s ahead. 💙

While we've all been watching the incredible gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games, we've been celebrating some pretty special moments here at NDGC too!

The skills on display at the highest level are inspiring, but every gymnast starts exactly the same way, with a first swing on the rings, a first support on the bars, or a first safe landing.

These moments may seem small, but they're where confidence grows, resilience is built, and a lifelong love of movement begins.

Gymnastics is often called the foundation sport because it develops balance, coordination, strength, flexibility and body awareness, skills that support children not only in gymnastics, but in almost every other sport they choose to pursue.

We feel incredibly privileged to be part of so many children's first experiences in sport and to watch them grow in confidence week after week.

Here's to celebrating every milestone, big or small, and to the next generation of movers, dreamers and maybe even future Commonwealth Games gymnasts. 💙🤸

✨ National Camp Selection Announcement ✨

Following their outstanding performances at the Australian Gymnastics Championships last month, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate three NDGC athletes who have been selected to attend Gymnastics Australia development camps at the Australian Institute of Sport this August.

💙 Luc – MAG Senior National Training Camp
💚 Ava – WAG International Pathways Gold Camp
💙 Vatarlie – WAG International Pathways Green Camp

These camps provide an incredible opportunity for athletes and coaches to learn, collaborate and continue their technical and holistic development alongside some of Australia’s best.

We’re also proud to have Coach Brenton attending with Luc, and Coach Rachel supporting Ava and Vatarlie at the camps.

Congratulations to our athletes and coaches on this fantastic achievement. We can’t wait to see you make the most of this amazing opportunity!
