Round 13 β 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th XI
Round 18 - 5th XI
π 1st XI
In a confidence-boosting result ahead of next weekβs finals, the 1st XI secured a strong 5-wicket victory over ladder leaders before this round North Perth. After restricting the opposition to 8/149, the side successfully chased the target, finishing 5 wickets down.
Standout performances came from Heshan Perera (3/32 and 37), Jerra Smith (2/20), and Kyle Cosson (43no).
Despite the win, other results saw the 1st XI finish 4th on the ladder. They will face Swan Athletic Caversham in next weekβs Semi-Final.
π 2nd XI
The 2nd XI recorded a solid 4-wicket win over North Perth, however other results meant they narrowly missed finals, finishing 5th on the ladder on net run rate.
After bowling North Perth out for 132, the chase was completed comfortably with overs to spare.
Key contributors with the ball were Cory Howes (4/35), Matt Hill (2/13), and Sam Dymock (2/24). With the bat, Jesse Doney (38) and Alex Chao (34) led the scoring.
π 3rd XI
The 3rd XI finished their season strongly with a hard-fought 9-run victory. Posting 8/177, they held off Bassendean who finished on 8/168.
With the bat, Andy Gregory (35), Shaun OβShea (29), Wilfred Bicknell (29), and Jared Lamont (26) all made valuable contributions.
Daniel Howes (2/27) was the leading wicket-taker in a well-rounded team bowling effort. The side finished 6th on the ladder.
π 4th XI
In a preview of next weekβs Semi-Final, the 4th XI fell short against Fremantle Mosman Park. Chasing 210 for victory, the side was unable to reach the target, finishing 43 runs short.
Ben Allan (2/30) was the standout with the ball, while Matt Turnbull (54) and Jacob Paolino (29) led the run scoring.
The teams will meet again in the Semi-Final next week, this time on home soil.
π 5th XI
The 5th XI closed their season on a high with a determined 22-run win over Western Suburbs to finish 6th on the ladder.
Boris Krebl delivered an outstanding performance with the ball, taking 6/33, well supported by Matty Williams (2/40).
After early trouble with the bat, veterans Paul Southall (48) and Darren Mullooly (39no) steadied the innings to help post a competitive total.
