A Special General Meeting will be held via Zoom on 21/9/2025 at 7pm. The purpose of this meeting is for winding up the Balaklava Pony Club. This is due to the dramatic drop in members.

The colour of jodhpurs, moleskins, breeches and riding jeans is another change in the Pony Club Australia Gear Rules 2023, now in effect for all members for rallies, musters and competitions.

Black and dark blue have been added to the list of neutral colours of pants. (NOTE: You will need to check if your official Club, Zone and State uniform specifies the colour of jodhs).

This has been brought about in part by the great response to our survey on periods and making girls more comfortable at Pony Club, and because in our dusty (and muddy!) climate, dark colours are much more practical and can still look smart.

The PCA National Gear Rules 2023 edition is now available on the PCA website. It comes into effect from November 21, 2022.
Members can still use the 2022 edition provided they also read the Addendum which brings it up to date with the 2023 Edition.

The changes follow the annual review of the gear rules by the National Gear Committee and will be in effect until late 2023, following the next review. Any urgent changes to the 2023 edition until then will be communicated to state offices and members and found in the addendum. The latest addendum can always be found on the PCA website.

The National Gear Rules apply to all Pony Club members at rallies, musters, camps and other training, and for competition.

NOTE: Gear not found in the National Gear Rules cannot be used. There is an exemption process available for individual circumstances, but riders need to allow three weeks for approval as it goes first to the state and then the PCA panel.
