Round 8

After a well earned rest over the long weekend, we're back in action tomorrow as we head to the home of the Owls!

The forecast is reminding us that football and netball are definitely winter sports... a chilly 17°C with rain on the cards! We all know kids and puddles are like footballers and a loose ball... they're guaranteed to dive straight in!
Make sure you pack some extra clothes.

Tomorrow night's presentations are set to be a ripper as we head to Gawler River Brewing Co. With delicious pizzas, locally brewed beers, and options for the whole family, it's the perfect way to finish off a big day of football and netball.

Come along, enjoy some great food, and join us as we wrap up another massive Round 8. See you there!

Congratulations to our players and volunteers who represented our Club at the Netball SA Country Championships over the weekend. ✨

Sage and Chloe played very well, enjoying their time together on the court and the experience, finishing with a draw and 4 close games.

Willow's 13&U team finished in 4th spot (8 wins, 4 losses), but unfortunately fell short in the quarter final to top placed Great Southern by 3 goals who went on to win the carnival undefeated. Willow took on the role of GS with impressive accuracy.

Isla's 15&U team had a great carnival and finish at the top of their pool. In their cross pool quarter final they couldn't quite match a determined BLGNA. In true Isla style, she was solid in defence, her work rate unmatched and provided great support through the mid court.

After just making it into the 17&U Div 2 finals in 8th spot, Tori's team had an impressive finals campaign and took out the championship! In a goalie heavy team,Tori took on the opportunity and excelled in WA, providing great drive and movement around the circle, with a few sneaky intercepts in the mid court.

A huge thank you to Kasey who was our club representative umpire for the weekend, to Sharon who was on hand as trainer for all 4 teams across the 3 day carnival (an enormous commitment) and to Eliza, the 15&U team manager and our club's Country Champs representative - once again going above and beyond in the role to support our players and association. 💚💛🙌🏼

Last night was our Senior Netball Bonding Night, and what a success it was! 🏐🎉

A massive thank you to Laura, our Senior Coordinator, for organising such a fantastic night. It was great to see everyone getting involved, having fun, and enjoying each other’s company off the court.

Congratulations to Irish, who took out the overall win for the night!
What can’t she do!! 👏🏆

And of course, the BOG award goes to the A5s (and honorary member Kelsie 😆).
Rumour has it they enjoyed a rather late night, being chauffeur-driven around by our B grade runner! 🚗😂

As we tick off the first half of the season, it’s great to see our senior group relaxed, united, and enjoying each other’s company. We’re proud of the momentum we’ve built so far and are excited to carry that energy into the second half of the season.

Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make it such a memorable evening. Bring on the rest of the season! 💚💛🏐💪
