What a night for the Balaklava Football & Netball Club at the 2026 APNA Awards Night last night at the Balaklava Sports Club! 🏐✨

It was fantastic to come together to celebrate another wonderful season of netball, made even more special with Georgie Horjus joining us as the evening’s special guest.

📣 NEW BFNC POSITION – GRANTS & IMPROVEMENTS OFFICER WANTED FOR 2027! 💚💛

BFNC is always looking at how we can improve our facilities, infrastructure and overall club environment – and for 2027, we’re creating a brand-new position to help turn those ideas into reality!

We’re looking for someone to become our first Grants & Improvements Officer and help identify funding opportunities that can support the future development of BFNC and Ralli Park.

As Grants & Improvements Officer, you’ll help to:
🔎 Identify and pursue grants and funding at local, state and national levels
🏗️ Work with our committees to identify and prioritise improvements to BFNC facilities and infrastructure
📝 Coordinate grant applications, supporting documentation, reporting and acquittals
🤝 Build partnerships and represent BFNC, working with organisations including SANFL, AFL, Netball SA and Netball Australia, as well as the Balaklava Sports Club and Ralli Park Committee

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys planning, researching opportunities, developing projects and seeing ideas become tangible improvements.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about improving our club – with plenty of support available from across BFNC.

And importantly, this role isn’t just about finding grants. It’s about working with our football and netball communities to identify what we need, what our priorities should be and how we can fund the improvements that will make a genuine difference.

📣 BFNC NEEDS YOU – HEAD OF PUBLICITY WANTED FOR 2027! 💚💛

There is always plenty happening at BFNC – from game days and club events to player achievements, volunteers, sponsors and the many great stories that make our club what it is.

For the 2027 season, we’re looking for someone creative and enthusiastic to take on the role of BFNC Head of Publicity and help us tell those stories!

As Head of Publicity, you’ll help to:
📣 Promote BFNC across social media, digital platforms and other relevant media
💡 Create engaging content celebrating our football, netball, people, events and achievements
🌐 Manage and maintain our social media accounts and club website
🤝 Work with committees and sponsors to promote our club and recognise the people and businesses who support us

This is a role with plenty of opportunity to get creative, try new ideas and put your own stamp on how BFNC presents itself to our community.

You don’t need to be a marketing expert – if you enjoy social media, creating content, taking photos, telling stories or finding new ways to engage people, we’d love to hear from you!

📣 BFNC NEEDS YOU – HEAD OF SOCIAL COMMITTEE WANTED FOR 2027! 💚💛

A great sporting club is about more than what happens on the football field and netball court. It’s also about the connections, friendships and experiences that bring our whole club community together.

For the 2027 season, BFNC is looking for an enthusiastic person to take on the role of Head of Social Committee and help bring some fun to our club calendar!

As Head of Social Committee, you’ll help to:
🎉 Lead and coordinate the BFNC Social Committee
📅 Plan and promote family-friendly, inclusive and engaging social events
💰 Deliver profitable events that provide a financial return to our club
🙌 Coordinate volunteers and help bring together the people needed to make our events happen

We’re looking for someone with energy, ideas and a willingness to get people involved. You don’t have to organise everything yourself – the role is about bringing a team together, sharing the workload and helping turn great ideas into great BFNC events.

From functions and family events to new ideas we haven’t even thought of yet, there’s plenty of opportunity to put your own stamp on the role!
