Little Athletics is a modified and inclusive athletics program of events for children aged from 3 years to 17 years of age.

🌟 Shout Out to the Glenside Lions Club! 🌟

We are incredibly grateful to have received a generous grant from the Glenside Lions Club through Little Athletics SA.

As a regional club, support like this makes a huge difference. Thanks to this funding, we've been able to purchase a new Multi Timer, helping us take the next step towards one of our club goals – providing better and more accurate timing opportunities for our athletes.

Our Multi Timer has officially arrived, and we can't wait to put it to use next season (starting in Term 4)! ⏱️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A huge thank you to the Glenside Lions Club for supporting regional sport and investing in our athletes' future, and to Little Athletics SA for making opportunities like this possible.

Hat Giants Families!!!
We have an invitation to Salisbury.RUN

Its a local running event, held in Carisbrooke Park, Salisbury each year. This year it will take place on 🗓 Sunday 24th May.

The event caters for all fitness levels and ages and has medals for all entrants. With distances to suit every ability, it is a community event that is getting bigger each year.

Family friendly fun, entrants can enter into either the 2km, 5km, 10km or the 21.1km (half marathon). With generous cut-off times, walkers are also encouraged to participate in the 2km and 5km.

🏆Event organisers would love to extend an invitation for all Little Athletics athletes to participate in this year’s event, and as such, we are offering a 10% discount using the code LITTLEATHS2026

🏃‍♀️As it is currently Cross-Country season, this is a great opportunity for young athletes to participate, in particular the 2km and 5km events. They will all receive a medal and a bag full of goodies which include discounts...

Adelaide Plains Giants Little Athletics Club are incredibly proud and excited to announce that we have been named

🏆 Coles Centre of the Year – Inner Regional (Australia) 🏆

We would like to extend a massive thank you to Little Athletics South Australia for nominating our club. This recognition came as a complete surprise to us, and we are beyond honoured to be acknowledged at this level.

Last night, at the prestigious Little Athletics Hall of Fame Awards in Brisbane, our small club was announced as the national winner — this an absolutely unforgettable moment for Adelaide Plains Giants

This award is a reflection of how a few volunteers with the dedication, passion and hard work made a difference. From our amazing athletes, supportive families, tireless volunteers, and committed committee — this achievement belongs to all of you.

We also thank Coles for their continued support of Little Athletics across Australia, helping clubs like ours grow and thrive.

A very special personal THANKYOU to the incredible committee who have worked alongside me over the past three seasons — Joanne, Nikki, and Clare. We all started this journey brand new but together we navigated our way, learning and growing every step of the way.

📢 Volunteers!!! Volunteers are the foundation of our club — the early arrivals, the late stayers, the quiet achievers behind every successful meet.

Without them, there is no club — and with them, anything is possible.

👍 Congratulations to all of our incredible volunteers, and a special congratulations to our Volunteer of the Season, Morgan L 🪴
This award could truly have gone to so many, which makes it even more special. Morgan, you have stood out with your willingness to jump in wherever needed — from line marking and cooking BBQs to leading groups and always saying “yes, I’ll give it a go” to anything asked of you.

👏 Coach Recognition 2025/2026 👏

This year, we would like to recognise something that started as a goal just a couple of years ago.
As a committee, we set out to bring coaching to our club. We began by attending ITLAS coaching days and competition days, learning as much as we could. It was during an ITLAS course that we met Daniel — and from that moment, we said, “Wouldn’t it be great to have a coach like that at our club?”
From then on, we knew this was exactly what our athletes needed.
Daniel joined our club without hesitation, generously volunteering his time — while also supporting other clubs across SA. A highly sought-after coach, and we are incredibly lucky to have him.
What Daniel may not fully realise is the impact he has had. His presence, knowledge, and encouragement have helped our athletes grow, improve, and achieve their very best. We have seen increased success across events, a true reflection of the positive influence he has had on our athletes.
