After sitting with this for months now I have decided to say goodbye for now to omkara body and the monthly subscription for the wellness sanctuary…

With my big why is life my career has taken me on sideways step (still in the health and fitness space) and Iam excited to see what this path brings.

I will still continue to have the page going and in the coming weeks I will package up the wellness sanctuary so you can buy the recipes and workouts as one off purchase and you will continue to still have access to the online platform. The monthly membership will stop as I won’t be continuing on with creating new content.

Iam still somewhat here so if you do need support you can still reach out to me.

I just want to say a massive Thankyou for each and everyone of you that have supported me, I’m truly grateful for you all.

Is it best to workout when life is stressful??

I get asked this question a lot and my answer is, depending on your condition and the amount of stress you are facing will determine when to workout or what kind of workout todo.

If you have Lyme disease, ms, adrenal fatigue, anxiety or any condition that affects your nervous system then you need to take inconsideration how stress and workouts affects your nervous system.

If your nervous system is compromised our immune system is needing to work harder to protect us from our condition getting worse (remember your body is not attacking itself, it’s protecting you from the viruses and pathogens in you).

So when we workout it create good healthy stress within the body, but at the same time it does put some pressure of our nervous system. When we add a stressful situation in life (bad stress) it’s put even more added pressure on our nervous system. when our nervous system can’t handle anymore our immune system starts to weaken as it’s already working so hard to protect and your body.

If we continue to push and workout this is when you start to face flare up and set back with your condition, because your nervous system can’t handle any more.

So yes working out is a great stress reliever, but you need to assess your condition and what your nervous system and body can handle.

You are the CEO of your health and if you are constantly facing flare up and set back from working out while facing stressful situations I would encourage you to SLOW DOWN!! Take a little break from working out, or move your body in a slow gently way. A restorative workout, some stretching, a slow gentle walk.

It’s so important to nurture your nervous system when you are healing. The more you can learn and understand when is enough and how much your nervous system can and can’t handle, and you have love and compassion for your body where ever you are. The more love, compassion and healing your body will give you in return.

From a thousand wishes to ONE…

Your life changes in a blink of an eye when the doctor/specialist saying you are chronically Sick and he doesn’t know how you are not bed ridden in a hospital….

You go from having a thousand wishes and in a blink of an eye you have only one wish… “I wish to become disease free”

10 million thoughts run through your heading wondering what you did wrong, how did you end up here, and what did you do to deserve this!!
This was me 10 years ago and then again 4 years ago with another chronic illness. And still to this day I have but only one wish… “I wish to become disease free”

Every choose or decision I make is with this wish in mind. Yes I have moments when I make the wrong choose or decision, but I pay the price for them and they are a hard price to pay.

This is why I created the virtual wellness sanctuary is for all of you with this one wish. It’s taken me 10 years to get on the right track, but let it take you 10 years to get on the right track.

When you start your health journey, wheather you have a chronic illness or not we tend to be motivated and eager to workout every day and cut everything and anything out of your diet to give yourself the kick start you need.

Yes I love your enthusiasm and it’s great you want to better your health, but what can happen is if we go to hard to fast our body goes into a bit of shock (this fight or flight state) which can have us quickly having burn out, a health flare up, or find ourselves not sticking to workouting out or eating healthy.

When starting out it’s best to have the mindset that your health journey isn’t a sprint but rather a life long journey. Which means that small slow changes that you can easily make and adapted into your daily life untill it becomes a natural part of your life.

Choosing your workouts at the start you want them to make you feel good, energised and not completely exhausted, and drained that you are hating life and not wanting to workout out again.

In the virtual wellness sanctuary your workout which level your at at and all of the workouts in that section will help make you feel energised, feel good, feel like you have had a workout but your not drained and hating life. They will help you to slowly (remember slow and steady creates long term health and longevity) build your strength and fitness to progress to the next level on your health journey.

And all of the meditation will help you to have a calm and positive mindset and out look on like for your journey ahead.

What is your “WHY”

This statement was never important to me until I started to get sick (the first autoimmune diseases I got and have been able to naturally heal fromthat)
I become super clean on “WHY” I needed to get better and this kept me going through the hard dark day I faced when I wanted to give up because it was all to hard.

My “WHY” changed slightly when I got dignosed with my second autoimmune disease (still currently healing naturally) but it is strong and at the forefront of my mind when I’m faced with the darker days.

I also have my big life “WHY” that continues to give me courage and motivation to keep going when life gets tough.

Knowing your “WHY” in life or your health and fitness journey and keeping it at the forefront of your mind will help you to continue to make positive choices, keep you motivated when you aren’t feeling well or motivated.

So I ask you, what is your “WHY” And become so clear that it will help you get through the hard moment in life.
