Team Selection โ Round 3
vs Grand Central @ Racecourse
Last game before a 3-week break, itโs important we finish strong and stay on top, as it gives us two chances in the finals.
Big thank you to Justin for stepping in last week during the 2nd innings as a concussion substitute for Rahul.
Weโre pleased to welcome Mohammad Alfar, who will be making his debut this week, bringing experience from the VTCA Kookaburra Senior Championship Division.
Ashen Abeykoon, a VTCA Division 1 player, will be resting this game. He was Man of the Match last week with 67 runs and also picked up a wicket, making a strong impact with bat, ball, and fielding.
Having players like Alfar and Ashen around the group is a big positive for us. Their experience and approach to the game give everyone a chance to learn and improve.
Unfortunately, the attempt to get Sam Crea to play didnโt go throughโhis โmedical reportsโ were reviewed and approved by the winter gang. Narrow escape there.
Rahulโs X-ray suggested something was missing, and the MRI later confirmed itโฆ turns out the missing part was his helmet.
