Nessie later appears in different parts of the loch, beautifully adorned with garlands and festive decorations.

๐ŸŽ„ Itโ€™s the Winter Solstice tonight in Scotland๐ŸŒž

Christmas was banned in Scotland for nearly 400 years due to religious conflict. Instead, Scots celebrated the Winter Solstice (and Hogmanay of course), marking the shortest day of the year and the return of longer days. A lot of customs from the Solstice have made their way into the Christmas traditions we have today.

FC Caledonia is a small Highland Dancing school located in Ayr, Australia.

Caledonia is the latin name for Scotland given by Romans gave to Scotland - Fionaโ€™s family homeland.

Highland Dancing: According to tradition, the old kings and clan chiefs used the Highland Games as a means to select their best men at arms, and the discipline required to perform the Highland dances allowed men to demonstrate their strength, stamina and agility. Highland dancers today strive to perfect three things - timing, technique and deportment - all whilst showing no sign of strain or effort.
