Photo of the Junior Australian team to race in New Zealand and Canada, AKC has 8 members chosen, Can’t see Bronte Kippax there but she is Heading to Canada for the Junior worlds. Huge congratulations to the team and particularly to our AKC members.💪👍
The regatta was rounded off with the exciting K4 events all over 500m. 14’s had Leo Manser and Phoenix Montgomery winning 🥇 18 boys of Kaelan Montgomery and Tor Manser 🥈and 18 girls Bronte’s Kippax and Bowker ,Macey Waller and Zahra Green the 🥉
Very last races of the day were the State V State K4’s. Of the 24 NSW athletes chosen an amazing 14 were from AKC !! 16 girls all Avoca Crew of Liv,Ella,Ash and Alannah took 🥇 as did the 18boys of Tor and Kaelan and girls Bronte Kippax. It was silver 🥈to the 16 boys Taj and Jasper, Open women Ella,Natalia and Emily and Open men Riley and Jerome.
What fantastic results from AKC over a very trying Regatta, very windy conditions making racing tough. Many many thanks to all our fab parents, grandparents and members who helped out volunteering,officiating,feeding, clothing and making sure kids got to races on time !! It was a fantastic vibe under the tents all 5 days !! Huge thanks to all our coaches,especially Angelica who was everywhere she was needed encouraging,exhorting and sometimes commiserating with the whole team. The windy conditions unfortunately finished off our team shade tents, we are looking at getting some branded ones to replace, if any generous business would like to help out an outstanding Central Coast and satellite club pleasure get in touch with Pommie or leave a note in messages😎

Natalia Drobot giving our 18 girls a few tips before winning 🥇In the Open 200m Final closely followed by Ella Beere with the Silver medal. Also in the Men’s Open 200 B final was brother Jerome finishing 2nd. Over 55’s saw Pommie in 5th and 65’s Peter Macintyre 4th.
Women’s Open 1000m K2 and it was 🥈for Ella Beere with Emily Rose🥉Boys 16’s 🥈 to Jasper Graham and Taj Williams 16 girls 🥈to Ash and Ella Pegrum and 🥉for Liv Manser and Alannah Dimmock. 18 boys Kaelan Montgomery and Tor Manser 4th. Now to the 500m mixed K2 14’s 🥈to Leo Manser and partner, 16’s 🥈Alannah Dimmock and Jasper Graham, with Liv Manser and Taj Williams in 5th.

18 K2 200m 🥈for Bronte Kippax and in the boys 7th for Kaelan Montgomery and Tor Manser. 16 boys 🥉for Taj Williams and Jasper Graham. 14 boys 🥉also for Leo Manser and Phoenix Montgomery. Back to the 16girls 4th for Ella and Ash Pegrum and 5th with Liv Manser and Alannah Dimmock. In the Legends race the crowds roared home the field with Peter Macintyre and Pommie coming home 5th racing against many past Olympians. Onto the longer 1000m races and Phoenix Montgomery finished 4th and Leo Manser 7th. Our fantastic U18 girls won 🥇with Bronte Kippax 🥈with Bronte Bowker and Macey Waller with Zahra Green and Charlee Eurell in 5th whilst the Over 55 crew of Pommie and Pete Macintyre also took 🥇
