End of Another Fantastic Season

As we come to the end of another pool season, we just want to say a huge thank you to our amazing community.

It has been fantastic to see our pools being used for exactly what they were built for decades ago — bringing the community together. Over the season we’ve hosted parties, birthdays, fundraisers, swimming carnivals, footy camps and swimming lessons across all of our pools, and it’s been great seeing so many memories being made.

I also want to take this opportunity to give a massive thank you to our incredible lifeguard team, who have once again gone above and beyond this season.

At the start of the season I spoke to the team about making excellence our theme. That meant focusing on everything — the presentation of the grounds, the quality of the water, creating a welcoming atmosphere for our community, and most importantly the safety of every person who walks through the gates.

I’m incredibly proud to say that the team has absolutely delivered on that goal.

This season all four Strathbogie pools were audited by Lifesaving Victoria, and I’m stoked to announce that we have moved from a Bronze rating to a Silver rating across every pool.

Achieving a Silver rating is a huge result for regional seasonal pools, especially given the age of many facilities and how much building requirements have changed over the years. Because of this, seasonal pools need to work extremely hard with what we can control in order to meet the highest standards.

To achieve a Silver rating, pools must score above 90% in both safety and compliance — and our team absolutely smashed it.

This result is a credit to the hard work, professionalism and positive attitude of the entire team, and I couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.

We still have one day left of the season, so feel free to come down tomorrow for a final swim before we wrap things up for the year.

Euroa Pool will also be hosting our pool party from 2–6pm, with our fantastic new inflatables and a free sausage sizzle for the community.

Thanks again to everyone who supported the pools this season. We hope to see you tomorrow, and we look forward to doing it all again next season.

Stay safe and have fun 😎

🌧️ POOL CLOSURES – TOMORROW 🌬️

With cold temperatures and steady rain forecast for tomorrow, all Strathbogie Shire pools will be closed for the day.

We don’t open during colder conditions, and with the wet weather on top, it’s just not going to be a great pool day.

Thanks for your understanding legends — we’ll be back open as soon as the weather warms up a bit ☀️💦

Keep an eye on this page for updates!
