RSR Coaching: June Recap! 🏃♂️
Better late than never! While Coach Sarah has been navigating a recent physical health crisis, I couldn't let June pass without celebrating our incredible community's massive achievements!
From celebrating Global Running Day to braving the elements for our annual Winter Solstice Glow Stick Runs, June was packed with energy, grit, and good times.
Here is a look back at what our runners got up to:
🏆 Race Highlights & Heroic Effort
A Run for the Ages - Australia (ARFTAA): Shoutout to Tom & Louise for giving it a solid crack over the WA Day long weekend, along with community friends Morgan & Roy! *(wearing suitable attire)
PTS Jolly Jumbuck & Snakes & Ladders: Great efforts by Julia, Richard, and Tom (volunteering!). Julia brought her iconic style to Snakes & Ladders as always!
Cape2Cape (Ultra Series WA): Classic blustering Down South conditions! Huge congrats to BK and to Nancy for taking out 1st place on the women’s podium! 🥇
Rottnest Running Festival: Chilly but clear skies—awesome running across all distances, including Hayley, who nailed her race as part of a programmed long run!
Cairns Triathlon: Jane and her team conquered the tropical humidity and had an absolute blast! 🌴
Ultra Perth: Brilliant runs by Órla & Claire in the Half Marathon! Massive congrats to the Aveley Parkracers (Jason, Kevin, Cara & Pippa) for securing a fantastic 2nd place in the Team Relay! 🥈
MSWA Step Up Challenge: Absolute legend status for Alan, who conquered the climb in his full firefighting kit! 🔥
WAMC King of the Mountain: Hopi and local legends represented on a notoriously tough course.
Bravehearts 777 Marathon (Perth): Strong runs by Damien, Charles, Craig, and the phenomenal Laura continuing her epic 7 marathons in 7 states in 7 days! 🌟
🌟 Community Wins & Extra Cheer
Rachel: We are so proud of your incredible progress on your Return to Run journey!
Parkrun & Juniors: I'll post an additional recap to highlight all the successes across the board.
Thank you to everyone for making June another month to remember.
Together we are better. 💙
