Functional? Integrated? Non-isolationist movements and exercises…it’s not the label that matters, it’s the results and benefits.

This lateral tuck on the freeFORM Board loads the obliques on the frontal plane but as it’s an alternating lateral tuck, it also loads them on the transverse plane and the re**us abdominal and the hip flexors and quads are all involved.

Observe the movement and load in the shoulders, the spine, the hips, the knees, the ankles…almost everything is moving to some degree.

To top it off, the Power Plate is oscillating up and down 30 times every second stimulating muscle activation, bone density, neural-stimulation and circulation.

That’s a well invested 45 seconds of clients time. If you follow you’ll see exercises like this programmed into circuits and metabolic workouts on the Power Plate.

This freeFORM mountain climber is loaded with bands around the ankles making it especially demanding both metabolically and also from the hip flexors.

I like to program this one as a score exercise and a body exercise that gets the heart pumping fast. As much as the lower body is moving, the upper body has to control that force as do the abs and core.

Thanks to .gr all the way in Greece for this and all of their other videos 👋

What movements can the hip joint perform? Flexion / extension, abduction / adduction, horizontal abduction and adduction, internal and external rotation, circumduction and complex combinations of all of the above.

These movements can be performed in combination with knee and ankle and spinal and shoulder movements which are all perfectly natural and healthy for the body.

What movements does the freeFORM Board support?

ALL OF THR ABOVE ✅ and the equivalent concept applies to every limb and joint that is supported by the board.

“It’s what the body does naturally” which is so simple and yet, so complex to understand.

Thanks to and .us for the video.

Just move on up through different resitance levels using these reverse roll out variations. There are so many ways to make freeFORM exercises more challenging or more accessible.

Thanks to Tom in Bristol, UK for the more advanced variation of this exercise.
