Currently the Australind skate park is the only one provided in Australind. It is a relatively basic skate park consisting of a flat concrete pad with portable skate ramps. Built in 1997 with assistance from the Shire of Harvey, Lotteries Commission and the

community of Australind, it contains a large concrete area, quarter pipe, bank, fun box and grind rails. A funding proposal for the $1.35 million upgrade was endorsed by the Harvey Shire Council at its meeting in May 2013. It was endorsed on the condition of government funding and a contribution of $50,000 by the Australind community. Therefore a fundraising committee called Australind Skate Park Inc has been formed to spearhead the fundraising drive to obtain the community contribution. With your help, the upgraded skate park can become a reality. You can help by donating, volunteering and supporting this cause.
