THAT’S A WRAP ON AFTA 2026!
Another AFTA Australia Fishing Trade Association SHOW done and dusted — and we’ve come home with plenty of ideas (and a shopping list that might have gotten a little out of hand 😂).
For us, AFTA is about much more than just checking out some new fishing gear. It gives us the opportunity to get our hands on the latest products, talk directly with the brands and suppliers, and find the gear that we think genuinely deserves a spot on our shelves.
And there was certainly plenty that caught our eye this year!
From new lures, micro jigs, plastics, hooks and rigs, through to rods, reels, wet weather gear, footwear, cooler accessories and plenty more — there is some seriously good gear on the way.
A few standouts included new gear from SHIMANO Australia Fishing, PENN Fishing, Oceans Legacy, Halco Tackle, Nomad Design Australia, Daiwa Australia, The Mad Hueys, Berkley Fishing, YETI, TT's, Decoy, Salty Crew and plenty of others.
Some of it you'll see in store very soon… and some you'll have to wait just a little longer for.
As an independent tackle shop, we’re committed to continually improving our range and making sure our customers have access to the latest, best and most innovative fishing tackle available.
A massive thanks to all the suppliers, brands and industry reps who took the time to show us what’s coming for the year ahead.
Now comes the fun part… getting it into Whitey’s!
