The Afghan Premiers would like to thank Sydney for hosting the 2025 Freedom Cup. A special thank you to the organisers for their hard work and dedication, and to the supporters who created a true tournament atmosphere. This event would not have been possible without all of you, and your support truly made it feel like a real tournament.

We would also like to sincerely thank Sammy and Shazil for their commitment and the effort they put into organising and running this tournament. Their contribution and leadership did not go unnoticed by the team.

The team wrapped up the group stage in style with a commanding 4–0 victory over Wahdat FC (Brisbane) in our final group match. It was a strong all-round performance, with Fazil leading the way by scoring twice, while Ali Y and Ali S added one goal each to complete the scoreline. The win marks a confident finish to the group stages, and now all focus turns to the Round of 16, kicking off tomorrow, 28th December 2025.
