For Round 13 (13th Feb – 22nd Feb 2026) at Jandakot Lakes Junior Cricket Club , we’re proudly getting behind Mental Health Awareness Week . 🧠💚
Sport is not just about runs and wickets – it’s also about mateship, confidence, and looking out for one another on and off the field. We want every junior player, parent, coach and volunteer to know: it’s OK to have tough days, it’s OK to talk, and it’s always OK to ask for help.
Across this round, we’re encouraging our JLJCC family:
- Check in with a teammate or fellow parent and start a simple “How are you going?” conversation.
- Celebrate effort and enjoyment, not just the scoreboard - having fun and staying active is great for kids’ mental wellbeing.
- Speak up if something doesn’t feel right and reach out to a trusted adult, coach, parent, teacher or health professional.
If you or your child needs support, you’re not alone – talking to your GP, a school counsellor or services like Headspace, Beyond Blue or Lifeline can make a real difference.
As a club, we stand for a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every young cricketer can grow, feel valued and enjoy the game they love. 💛🏏
