Atherton parkrun

Atherton parkrun Atherton parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk put on by the community for the community at 7am every Saturday morning in Atherton, Qld.

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Atherton parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful surrounds and get physically active in the process. We

want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Another great way to start the weekend at Atherton parkrun. Welcome to all our visitors from near and far (Warrnambool,Vic) and some very first time parkrunners who joined us today. 93 runner and walkers made the most of a cool but dry Atherton morning.
A big thank you to all of today's volunteers.
Congratulations to these milestones achievers today

It is our 10th Birthday on July 4th - more details to come on how to make the day a Special one.

Wet, windy Atherton parkrun today. But that didn't stop 95 runners, joggers and walkers starting their day off with a great bit of exercise.
We welcomed visitors and first time parkrunners- please come back again, our weather isn't always this bad.
Thank you to today's volunteers - as always "No Volunteers - No parkrun ". Please check the volunteer board to see if you can help out sometime in the future.
Congratulations to Ellen on her 50th parkrun.
And Kate, who chose not to tell us it was parkrun 300 for her today. Big congratulations Kate.
