🎂🏊♂️🏊♀️ Cake Day Celebration! 🏊♀️🏊♂️🎂
Last Wednesday, despite the wild weather, we celebrated a very special milestone for two of our swimmers, Will and Sienna.
In swimming, reaching 18 years of age while still training and competing in squad is a remarkable achievement. Many young swimmers begin the journey, but only a select few stay the course through countless kilometres, competitions, school commitments, part-time jobs, and everything else life throws their way.
It takes dedication, resilience, discipline, and a genuine love for the sport to remain committed for so many years.
Will is our longest-standing Swim Solutions swimmer, having joined our community in 2014. For more than a decade, he has been part of our swimming family, demonstrating extraordinary commitment, loyalty, and perseverance. His journey is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through consistency and passion. Today, he is also helping shape the next generation as a dedicated and valued learn-to-swim teacher.
Sienna joined our squad in 2021 and has worked tirelessly to develop her skills and confidence in the pool. What began as a journey of building confidence has grown into a passion for open water swimming, where she has truly found her stride. Today, she is a fiercely strong ocean swimmer whose courage, resilience, and willingness to embrace new challenges have been inspiring to watch.
Because achievements like these are so special, we're proud to introduce a new Swim Solutions tradition: Cake Day! 🎂
Any squad swimmer who remains committed to squad all the way through to their 18th birthday will be celebrated with their very own Cake Day as they prepare to begin a new chapter in the Adult Squad.
Congratulations, Sienna and Will. We couldn't be prouder of your achievements or more grateful for the example you set for our younger swimmers.
