Commencing from AFC #1 in Melbourne on Sept 11 - 13 2026, the AFF will adopt the updated P-Card rules brought into effect by the FIE for the upcoming 26/27 season.

Per these rules, there is no longer a P-Yellow card.

Instead, a minute with no touch will result in both fencers being first penalised with a P-Red.

The next minute without a touch will proceed to a P-Black card with the current AFF conventions applied, i.e. if one fencer leads then the other will be eliminated, and if the scores are level then the fencer with the lower seeding going into the competition will be eliminated.
