Ashgrove parkrun

This morning we sprang into Spring (or is that Summer) and welcomed 269 participants to Ashgrove parkrun for event #522!

We had 6 brand new first time parkrunners join us, along with 5 visitors including from locations across Brisbane and Toowoomba! Welcome to all and hope to see you again.

The first male across the line was Michael O'Rourke in 19:02, and the first placed female was Frances Hewett in 21:10. Well done to you both of you!

Extra congratulations go to our milestone runners this week: Ophelia Donohue (10), Christopher Zoomerschoe (50), and Jeremy Parsons (100). If you are celebrating a milestone in the coming weeks get in touch and we will give you a shout out in the run briefing.

Thanks to our wonderful community we have all our volunteer roles filled and we're ready to go! See you all tomorrow morning at 6:45 for the first timers welcome, 6:55 for the run brief and 7:00 start.

A couple of notes...

Parking: as the rugby season is winding down there should be less parking contention so feel free to utilise the parking at the sports fields. Thanks to everyone who helped over the last few weeks with this.

Toilet facilities: there are no public toilets available to use at our event, the closest are at Dorrington Park, which is about 1km down the road.

We’re close to parkrunday and still looking for a timekeeper ⏱️ so we can put the event on, also a marshal would be great too. Drop us a message if you can help!

Good morning Ashgrove parkrun community! We've only just had a parkrun but we're already on the countdown to the next!

Doing an early callout for some volunteers to enable us to go ahead on Saturday. We're looking for:

- Timekeeper
- 2 x Finish Tokens
- Marshal

What a fantastic morning at Ashgrove parkrun for event #521! 💚

We had 260 finishers including 40 first timers, 38 PBs and were supported by our amazing volunteers 🙌🏼

Our first finisher was Jackson Nugent in 17:52, with Zoe Aspinwall our first female in 18:59. Congratulations to you both! 🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️👏🏼

🌿 A huge welcome to our 40 first timers — we hope you loved your first visit!

💯 Massive congratulations to Mia McConaghy on her 100th parkrun milestone!
