A good and long standing friend of the Club, Geoffrey Close, has passed away in his sleep overnight.
He will be missed by many.

Ashburton wins Boroondara Cup

Ashburton Bowls Club wins the Boroondara Cup with 115 points overall. Runner up North Balwyn with 103 points and Auburn third with 101 points.

OVERALL BEST WINNING RINK OF ALL CLUBS.
Ray Namour, Peter Odgers , Peg McNally [They only lost a total of 5 ends on the whole day ]
The hospitatilty of Camberwell was great with a loverly lunch and sausage sizzle afterwards . The Mayor of Boroondara presented the trophy and was most impressed by the numbers there showing a great community spirit between all the clubs who attended. All teams had a mix of both males and females which is a good show of inclusion of all in the sport. As winners of this years cup Ashburton Bowls Club will host the competition next year.
