The Victor Harbor Historic Motor Vehicles Club is holding its annual picnic at the oval this Sunday 5 November. A number of other car clubs have been invited, so they're expecting a huge turnout. Cars will start arriving at 10am and they're usually there until around 2pm. All are welcome to wander around the oval and enjoy the wonderful collection of cars.

Yesterday's golf day wouldn't have happened without a heck of a lot of work from a fab group of local folk. Thanks so much to Al Scott-Young, Tom Bradman, Simon Burr, Vibeke Jackson, Georgia & Robin Johnson, Paul Sutton, Trish Clark, Mark & Trish Meyer, Laura O'Donnell, Ben Gibson, John and Diana Todd.

Well, the planets aligned for yesterday's annual Ashbourne golf day fundraiser. The weather was perfect, the course was as pretty as a picture, Simon Burr's food was excellent and the golf was brilliantly varied 😁. Thanks so much to everyone who played, lunched and generously donated their time and money. It really was a cracking day.

Huge thanks to our sponsors for their very generous donations - DogRidge for day's wine needs, Nomad Farms for the pasture-raised chicken and beef served at breakfast and lunch, McLaren Vale Distillery, Kuti Shack and, last but certainly not least, FP Ag Strathalbyn.

And how about that golf course 😍. We can't thank Robert and Bobby Johnson enough for once again donating the course for the day.

⛳️ The annual Ashbourne Community Golf Day is next Sunday 5 February ⛳️

Call Al on 0410 308 870 to book your team of 4 (men's, women's and mixed teams welcome).

Cost is $50, which includes green fees and breakfast and lunch by renowned chef and all round good guy Simon Burr. Meat has been v generously donated by terrific locals Tom and Verity from Nomad Farms, and wine by DogRidge, McLaren Vale.

All proceeds go to maintaining and upgrading our community hall. Please share this with any interested friends, family and work colleagues.

It's been a long time between posts, but we haven't been resting on our laurels. Table tennis, Christmas in July and a cavoodle reunion are just some of the events the hall has recently hosted.

Next month is the Victor Harbor Historic Motor Vehicle Club's picnic day and talented musician Lucie Thorne's album launch. More details to come...

It's all happening in Ashbourne this Sunday. Check out the vintage cars at the oval between 9.30am and 3pm and then wander down to The Greenman Inn from 1-4pm for live music and a drink or two. Doesn't get much better :)
