Willoughby Squash Club Willoughby Squash may have closed as a venue, but the club is alive and well.

We formed the Willoughby Squash and Racquets Club (WSRC) to keep local squash alive and continue a strong community, while we are working towards our new facilities.

The Saturday round robin remains undefeated as the best three hours of anyone’s weekend 😁.
9am to noon at MAASH in Marsfield, every level from “first time holding a racquet” to “getting a match in to train for pennant.” No sign-up, no fuss - just show up and someone will have a hit with you 👏.

Then there’s coffee ☕ and banana bread after, which honestly might be the real drawcard.

Every member on our books is proof to Willoughby Council that this community is real and it wants courts back. It’s also your way in to WSRC’s first competitive events, kicking off with the Club Championships on 10 October.

They took our courts. They did not take our squad nights, our Saturday round robins, our Pennant teams, or our terrible squash jokes.
Since the closure, this club hasn’t slowed down for a second - we’re playing every week at courts all over the area, and we’ve officially incorporated as the Willoughby Squash and Racquets Club (WSRC), a not-for-profit built to keep this community together while we chase down new premises.
We’re already in conversations with Willoughby Council about both a short-term fix and a proper long-term home. Follow along here for the updates, and if you’ve got a lead on courts, we want to hear it.

BIG NEWS! Our first-ever Club Championships under the WSRC banner is on, Saturday 10 October at Thornleigh Squash and Fitness.

Every single player gets 3 matches guaranteed - nobody’s going home after one loss.
You’ll also get this year’s event T-shirt (genuinely a good one), and sponsors have chipped in some cracking prizes, including a racquet.

Members only, and membership is $5.

1000 SQUASH RACQUETS SPECIAL CEREMONY
🕐 1:00 PM
We are having a massive farewell to Willoughby Squash Club and will stage a "1000 racquet event" as a rallying call to Keep Indoor Racquet Sports in Willoughby
A sausage sizzle will be provided. Friends. Fun. Food! 🥳🌭
*Important: Bring you squash racquet!*
We want 1000 squash racquets and our extended squash family in one big photo. Please wear a squash shirt and bring as many squash racquets as you can.
The more racquets, the greater the impact!

2026 WILLOUGHBY DOUBLES TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS
We are hosting our final tournament. We are fully subscribed, with 3️⃣2️⃣ players registered (plus a waiting list).
Starting directly after the 1000 Racquets until 5pm. If you missed out on a spot, stick around and jump on one of the downstairs courts!

2-UP
Paul, one of our members, has crafted a paddle for playing 2-up. If you're keen, head to the ATM and grab some small notes to play.

Summer Comp starts TONIGHT from 7pm.
There's still space for a few more players, even if you join from next week.
Also specifically on the look out for one player to fill in tonight, around a SportyHQ of 600-700. 🧐

6️⃣ days until the Wednesday Internal Comp starts.
Entries close on Monday.

5️⃣1️⃣ days until the Willoughby Open.
More details coming soon. For now, save the date: March 7-8, 2026.
