At the North West Equestrian Expo in Coonabarabran, the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship showed up in ways that made us incredibly proud. Our equestrian community came home with so much more than trophies—they came home having grown and represented everything we stand for.
And yes, the trophies tell an amazing story too:
🏆 Coonabarabran High School Perpetual Trophy – Taylor C, with 43.75 points as the highest individual scorer across four days of competition.
🏆 Poole Family Perpetual Shield – Awarded since 1993, and NEGS has now claimed it 8 times. This year's winners: Taylor C (43.75), Robin H (41.75), Abbie K (37.75), and Sarah B (26.25).
🏆 Team Six-Bar Shield – For the third consecutive year, our riders have brought this trophy home. Robin H delivered a perfect round (30 points with no rails knocked over in 5 rounds), supported by Annabelle Dunlop and Charlotte Johnson.
🏆 Team Dressage Trophy– Taylor Chick (Champion Elementary), Abbie Kelly (Reserve Champion Elementary), and Robin Henry (3rd Medium).
Individual championships:
Champion Girl 17 Years - Taylor C
Reserve Champion Girl 15 Years - Abbie K
Reserve Champion Girl 17 Years - Robin H
This is what RITE (Responsibility, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence) Values look like when they're lived out every single day. Congratulations to our riders, to the families who support them, to the coaches who believe in them, and to everyone who is part of our equestrian community.
