Think outside the box for your exercise choice.

Gardening, cleaning, playing with your children, de-stressing in the gym, joining friends for a walk, run or swim.

I’ve had ankle surgery so my exercise today includes walking with crutches around the corridors. 🩼

I love receiving the Facebook memories.
It’s a lovely reminder of the activities of my friends & family.

However it can also be a reminder of some of my thoughts & feelings.

A reminder of how difficult it was in the early years when we received my child’s autism diagnosis.

A reminder of me at my unhealthiest.

So I decided to start sharing my monthly photo dump - the good, bad & ugly. 😂

Hopefully July will provide a greater variety.

🥧 Veggie Packed Protein Pie 🥧

EASY RECIPE using your left over veggies!
Very important for a healthy immune system to always eat the rainbow.

Method -Preheat oven to 180°c fan forced
Line a oven square tune or 2x loaf tins with baking paper
Then use 2x sheets puff pastry to make a base/s for the tart
Grate 4 cups of your left over veggies we used zucchini purple carrots 🥕 sweet potato 🍠baby squash and some kale 🥬

Squeeze excess water from the grated veggie then tip the grated veg into a bowl
Add 2-3 eggs a handful of chopped spring onions, some chopped chopped broccoli 🥦 stir well add 2 tablespoons oats 1/4 cream cheese or sour cream or Greek yoghurt works too!

Mix well pour on top of the pastry spread evenly
We added a handful of cheese on top then chopped tomato on top and bake for 40-50mins
Serve with a big raw salad 🥗
Served 4 with some left over for today’s lunch for the kids 👌

- squats, calf raises or balancing on one leg while cleaning teeth, making a cuppa.
(Benefits squats, calves, balance)

- sit to stand when getting up from a chair (great for quads & glutes)

Back in the gym at last.
I'm slowly increasing my cardio/weights.
(Very slowly ☺️)
I'll get a pic next session.

Walking & weights are my favourite ways go get my exercise.
