Please read Ava's nomination: "Ava showed an incredible amount of courage, determination and perseverance in class recently when she began working on a brand-new skill — an Arabian Salto! An Arabian can be a particularly daunting skill to attempt for the first time, as it combines two different types of rotation. Despite the challenge, Ava didn’t let that stop her. She gave it her absolute best from the very first attempt and even came incredibly close to landing the skill on her first day of working it! What stood out most wasn’t just how close Ava came to landing it, but her attitude throughout the entire process. With every attempt, she was determined to get back to her feet. Each time she fell, she simply picked herself back up with an even bigger desire to try again. There was no giving up — just another attempt, another adjustment and another step closer! That kind of resilience is exactly what gymnastics is all about. Learning new skills doesn’t always happen on the first try, but Ava demonstrated that having the courage to keep getting back up is just as important as landing the skill itself. We can’t wait to see Ava continue working on her Arabians, and we have no doubt she’ll be absolutely nailing them in no time!
