What an incredible performance from our Year 9 Red player, Zavier, who delivered a fantastic bowling spell in yesterday’s Grand Final. Zavier took 5 wickets in just three overs for only 3 runs! Huge congratulations to our Year 9 Boys Red team on their premiership win yesterday at Atwell Oval.

They put in an outstanding performance against the Bicton Jets Year 9 Boys.

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and the incredible women who make our club what it is.

From the Mums cheering on the boundary, to the volunteers behind the scenes, to the coaches, scorers and supporters who give their time week after week. Our junior cricket community wouldn’t be the same without you.

Thank you for everything you do to support our players, our teams and our club. We’re proud to be part of a community where girls and women play such an important role in growing the game 🏏

A great way to finish the season for our Year 4 Red team, which celebrated its first win of the season!

As the youngest side playing their first season of club cricket, they finally crossed the line after a few near misses throughout the year. It’s been fantastic to watch this group improve week by week while learning the game.

And on International Women's Day, it was especially nice to capture a photo with some of the amazing Mums who cheer them on every week. Junior sport simply wouldn’t be the same without their support.

A well-deserved result and a great way to cap off the season!

We are incredibly grateful to all of our coaches. They generously volunteer so much of their time to develop and nurture our players, sharing their knowledge, encouragement and passion for the game.

Their commitment goes far beyond training sessions and match days. They play a huge role in building confidence, teamwork and a lifelong love of cricket in our players. Our club simply wouldn’t be the same without them.

Our Red U11 coaches, Steve and Josh, had the following words on the 2025/26 season.

Steve: “It’s been really rewarding watching the team improve their bowling and batting skills throughout the season, and getting to understand each player’s individual strengths. I’ve really enjoyed being able to build our strategy around that.”

Josh: “As a first-time coach, I’ve loved watching the players grow individually and getting the chance to spend time with the kids and really get to know them.”

Well done to our Red U11 coaches and players on a fantastic season!

What a way to finish the Smash Series 🌭 🏏

These snaps were taken after the final Smash Series session this week. Keith and Tahlie led the charge on the BBQ, while Rachel jumped in to help serve sausages to nearly 100 kids!

From all reports, the four sessions were an absolute hit and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved. So wonderful to see so many kids out there learning new skills, building confidence and having fun.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen. This is what community cricket is all about.

A special moment at the nets this week… AJCC players, Olly and Sam, were lucky enough to be taken for an impromptu training session by senior players Keith Daddow and Len Blakey.

According to Olly, “training was great fun with those dudes”, while Sam said it was the highlight of his week!

It’s moments like this that highlight what our club is all about... The connection between our junior and senior players, the willingness to give back, and the strong, positive culture we’re building together.

Thank you Keith and Lenny for your time and generosity. These experiences mean more than you know!
