We opened the doors for the first time to Tierneys Taekwondo Academy in Appin in 2019. Anyone is welcome to join in. First lesson free!

We are a family run Taekwondo Academy focusing on fitness, fun, self-defence and self-discipline and anti-bullying.

It’s grading week!
A reminder for all students and parents, grading night is on this Thursday 4th June 2026 at 6:30pm
All students are to arrive by 6:20pm in full uniform and belt.
All grading fees need to be finalised by the 2nd of June 2026.
Good luck to all students and try hard and have fun!

Classes are run as normal on Monday and Tuesday. All students are encouraged to come to these classes to fit in as much practice as possible before grading.

Welcome back to Term 2 at Tierney’s Taekwondo Academy 🥋

Classes kick back off today 20th of April, and we’re excited to see all our students back for another great term of training, growth and fun.

We’re still proudly based in Appin, now training out of the Appin Public School Hall.

Tierney's Taekwondo Academy is back for 2026!!
Operating out of a new location at Appin Public School, Tierney's Taekwondo Academy will be operating classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Everyone is welcome to come and have a free trial lesson to try it out before deciding whether to join us.
Great for discipline, fitness, balance, confidence plus much much more....

We want to wish our Taekwondo community a happy new year and wishing everyone all the happiness for 2026!
A reminder that there is no training for the Christmas Holiday break and training will resume first week of Term 1 2026 in our new location at Appin Public School Hall.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to a new year of Taekwondo. New class timetables will be sent out to everyone early January.

This weekend we had 2 of our competitors go to Adelaide for the Australian Taekwondo Nationals Championships .tkd . Carly and Naeem have made our club very proud and have come home with 1x Gold and 1x Silver. We thank Coach Carly for coaching Naeem through all 3 of his fights today and we hope you guys travel home safe.🥇🥈🥋

Tierney’s Taekwondo travelled to the south coast to compete in the South Coast Taekwondo Open! Very proud of our small but mighty team, for all their effort they put in and for many they had gone up to new Age brackets, Belt levels and for a couple of them it was their very first time competing. A big thank you to and his team for putting on another great event! Great work team Tierney’s! Golds and Silvers all round!

Two of our Junior students represented Tierney’s Taekwondo by laying a wreath on behalf of our club at our local Anzac service. We are honoured to be part of such a great community and to pay our respects to those that have sacrificed for our country. Thank you Seth and Eliana for making us and our community proud! We look forward to having everyone back for Term 2 from the 28th of April.

Tierney's Taekwondo Academy is excited to announce that we are now running Taekwondo classes out of the PCYC Campbelltown.
After being voted Community Club of the year for 2024 we decided to branch out and bring Taekwondo back to the PCYC where our Head Instructor Amy Tierney started her Taekwondo journey at 6 years of age.
Come along and give Taekwondo a go. Great for fitness, confidence, self defence and fun but also while learning life long skills.

We are back from tomorrow (6/1/25) for the year of 2025. We look forward to providing our community with quality, family friendly Martial Arts training for another year filled with many opportunities for all. Taekwondo is great for all ages and is a great way to spend time with family whilst being active.
If you are interested in learning a new skill, wanting your children to try a martial art or are looking for a place to meet new friends and build confidence, come down for a free trial!
