Testing week! This week we will test some of our key strength and power indicators. We use this as an opportunity to set new benchmarks and have accurate numbers for our strength work moving forward. Remember, we are all at different phases and stages of life, a PR from 5yrs ago is not a safe or smart number to use for training, so get your latest numbers and let’s keep getting strong!

This week we have entered the final block of our current strength cycle. Following a specifically programmed strength cycle that includes planned testing and deload phases is essential for long-term progress, health and injury prevention. We structure our cycles to ensure that training intensity and volume are progressively increased in a controlled way, allowing the body to adapt without becoming overtrained. Scheduled testing provides clear benchmarks to measure improvement and adjust future programming, while deload periods reduce fatigue, promote recovery, and help prevent burnout or injury. Combined, this cycle of stress, assessment, and recovery maximizes strength gains while keeping performance sustainable over time ✅
