💙💛 MEET OUR GRAND FINAL 50s! 💛💙

They may be 50-plus, but don’t let the birth certificates fool you—these blokes are still flying, tackling, kicking snags and creating absolute havoc on the footy field!

They’ve worked hard, played for one another and produced an exceptional season. Now, our mighty 50s are heading into Sunday’s Grand Final ready to give it everything.

Here are the characters, champions and wonderfully ageing legends representing W***y this weekend!

Ageing disgracefully. Playing brilliantly. Grand Final bound.

💙💛 THE MEN LEADING US INTO GRAND FINAL DAY 💛💙

This Sunday, two incredible coaches will lead two exceptional Williamstown teams onto the biggest stage: Andrew Bryson and Matt Wynd.

For Seniors Coach Andrew “Bryso” Bryson, Grand Final success is something he has experienced before. Andrew was part of our 2019 Seniors premiership team—the last Williamstown side to bring a flag home.

He took over as Seniors coach in 2023 and has continued building this group ever since. A Grand Final appearance in 2024 was followed by a Semi Final last season, and now, in 2026, the Seniors are back on the biggest stage—stronger, hungrier and more united than ever.

Over 50s Coach Matt Wynd stepped into the role last season and made an immediate impact, taking his team all the way to the Grand Final in his very first year. They fell agonisingly short that day—but they came back determined to go one better.

This season, the Over 50s have been nothing short of exceptional. Their only result other than a win was a draw against Diamond Valley early in the season, with strong victories in every other game.

Behind every successful team is a coach who gives their time, energy and heart—someone who believes in their players, brings them together and keeps them moving forward.

Bryso and Wyndy, we are incredibly proud of you both, the work you have put in and the teams you have built.

Two coaches. Two outstanding teams. One enormous Sunday ahead.

Now it’s time to finish the job.

Let’s bring them home, W***y! 🏆💙💛

This is what an entire season of hard work, sacrifice and belief comes down to.

On Sunday 13 September, two Williamstown Superules teams will run out with the chance to bring home premiership glory—and we want the sidelines absolutely covered in BLUE AND GOLD! 💙💛

To our players, families, friends, past players and the entire W***y community—clear your Sunday, wear your colours, bring your voices and get to Brunswick!

Let’s pack the sidelines, be loud and proud, and make sure our boys feel the full force of the W***y family behind them from the opening bounce until the final siren.

Then, once the action is over, we’ll all head back home to Crofts Reserve to celebrate together and hopefully welcome home two premiership cups! 🏆🏆

The stage is set. The moment is here. Two teams. Two opportunities. Let’s bring them home!

Today, we celebrate all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, foster dads, father figures and role models who make our W***y family so special.

A special acknowledgement also goes to the incredible parents who take on both the mum and dad role—your love, strength and dedication never go unnoticed.

To those celebrating, remembering someone special, or finding today a little difficult, our thoughts are with you.

Last but certainly not least… our Seniors.

A massive season from this group — and unlike the rest of our B&F celebrations, their story isn’t finished yet.

Because next Sunday, they’re playing in a GRAND FINAL. 🏆🔥

🏆 BEST & FAIREST — GAVIN QUIRK

In just his second season at Williamstown, Gav takes out the big one — our 2026 Seniors Best & Fairest.

An outstanding season and a huge achievement in a quality Seniors side. 💙💛

🥈 RUNNER-UP — GARY JOHNSTONE

Also only in his second season at W***y, Gary has put together another brilliant year to finish Runner-Up in the Seniors B&F.

He’s certainly made his mark in a very short time at the club.

🥉 THIRD — MURRY SMITH

This one is pretty special.

Murry joined Williamstown this year for his first season at the club… and his first season EVER playing football.

Apparently nobody told him he was supposed to take some time to figure the game out. 😂

First year playing footy and he finishes THIRD in the Seniors Best & Fairest.

That is one hell of a debut season. 👏

💙💛 PLAYERS’ CHOICE — CHASE MORGAN

And then there’s Chase.

Sometimes an award tells you just as much about the person as it does the footballer.

Chase is simply one of those all-round amazing people you want in your footy club. A brilliant footballer, a great teammate and someone who gives everything to the group.

To be chosen by your own teammates as their Players’ Choice is pretty special — and in Chase’s case, incredibly fitting.

An absolute ripper on and off the field. 💙💛

Congratulations Gav, Gary, Murry and Chase on four fantastic seasons.

But there’s still one thing missing from this group’s 2026 story…

A massive season from Matty, crowned our 2026 Reserves Best & Fairest. Consistent, committed and an outstanding contributor throughout the year. Congratulations Matty! 👏🔥

🥈 RUNNER-UP — ALEX BRAWN
A fantastic season from Alex sees him finish Runner-Up in the Reserves Best & Fairest. Another seriously strong year in the blue and gold. 💙💛

🥉 EQUAL THIRD — CHRISTOPHER GRUDNIK & COLIN KILHEEN
Couldn’t split them! Chris and Colin share third place in the 2026 Reserves Best & Fairest, with both putting together terrific seasons. Congratulations boys! 👏

And Chris makes it a double!

On top of his equal-third finish, Christopher was voted the 2026 Reserves Players’ Choice by his teammates.

There’s something pretty special about an award chosen by the people you train, play and battle alongside every week — a great reflection of the teammate Chris has been throughout the season. 🙌
