I found this and thought it interesting, have copied it from another post and want to share it with you. The meaning behind the bunches given to medal winners at the Tokyo Olympics.
Green Lisianthus - Grown in Fukshima , the area of nuclear disaster, forcing many to evacuate, now cultivates these stunning blooms., jump starting their economy.
Sunflowers - Grown in Miyagi. Parents come to the hillsides there and plant sunflowers in memory of the children who died, the flowers have become a symbol to those affected.
Blue Gentian - Grown in Iwate , a coastal area that was hit hard by the giant tsunami waves. They have been growing these beautiful flowers since the 1960s.
Attached to the bouquet is the Olympic Mascot - Miraitowa. His name represents the Past and the Future.
