All classes are run and instructed by our full-time Professional Muay Thai coach Blade 'THE LIONHEART' Augey. Blade’s fighting career included a total of 26 fights, with 20 Professional fights. erience training and fighting in Muay Thai. Blade spent most of his fight career travelling to and living in Bangkok, Thailand, training out of SANGMORAKOT GYM under the highly experienced coaches Kru Wut and Kru Lenthong. He completed multiple fight camps at TIGER MUAY THAI, CHUWATTANA GYM and KIAPHONTIP, training alongside many World Champions like Jomthong Chuwattana, Yodwicha and Sean ‘CLUBBER’ Clancy and THAI FIGHT Champions like Iquezang and Payak Lukjapaoporongtom, to just name a few. Having the opportunity to learn from and train alongside these professional Thai fighters is one of many highlights in his Muay Thai career. Blade also spent a year living and training in Canada, where he was able to claim a spot on the professional fight team 'TEAM SMANDYCH' In Calgary. There he trained under the watchful eye of Kru Trevor Smandych and Kru Rhino Pichitchai. Kru Rhino was one of Blade's trainers who had given him the fight name 'THE LIONHEART'. After leaving Canada he came back to Australia and trained under Corey Impelmans at ManHo Academy of Martial Arts in Darwin. Training under Corey, he had number of fights in Australia, including an impressive 7-fight win streak in Perth, defeating some of the best fighters Western Australia had to offer. Blade is also a former WBC Victorian champion, successfully defending the title for just over two years. While training and fighting under Corey, he also opened and owned the first successful Muay Thai fight gym here in Alice Springs called ‘HEADRUSH ASP’ for 7 years. Blade has a strong passion for Muay Thai. He delivers his classes with a professional attitude. They are strongly influenced by the traditional Muay Thai culture and training approaches that he was immersed in while living in Thailand. His dedication to authentic Thai-style training is unique to Alice Springs and is central to his coaching of the LionHeart Fight Team, which currently consists of two Professional Muay Thai fighters and 4 up and coming amateurs.
