What a hot day for racing. Our race day hasn't exactly gone to plan.

Genevieve has been running great! She's comfortable and no issues there.

Annalyse's car unfortunately broke a crank shaft at the second qualifying rounds. Luckily we were able to quickly grab Toxic and get a single pass in, at an 8.1... need to slow that down a bit..

Thank you so much to Hawkeye Motorsport, dan and Josie Hodgins, and Ashley Gillatt for the use of Toxic. Thanks to the junior teams for being understanding. And thanks to the Australian National Drag Racing Association stewards for making sure we can keep going.

Another full day of racing tomorrow!

Today we officially announce that the Meowry Racing family will be moving back to the United States after the Alice Springs Inland Dragway (ASID) Desert Nationals. The girls will participate in their last event and then we'll say farewell to Australia (for now).

We greatly appreciate all the friends, family, sponsors, and all the other supporters of our little racing team. There is no way that we could have had this much fun without all the support.

We hope you can come to the Desert Nationals so we can say farewell to everyone!

ATTENTION DRAG RACERS:
Due to demand, we are re-opening drag racing entries ONLY.
They will be open until 11:59pm Thursday the 18th. We will absolutely accept no more entries after.
There will be a $50 late fee in addition to the entry fee for late entries.

This will be the only time we offer this. Future events will have a hard cut off. There is administrative work that is done behind the scenes that makes late entries difficult.

Due to those administrative issues, we cannot reopen burnout entries.

Meowry Racing won't be participating at this event but we absolutely encourage everyone to come out and see our friends Immanual and Ashia from Hawkeye Motorsport race against each other for the first time ever. Plus all the other racers, both local and interstate coming to compete for the titles!
It should be a great two days of racing and tractor pulls Alice Springs Inland Dragway (ASID).

We will see everyone at the Desert Nationals in August though!

The Meowry girls won't be racing, but would love to see our little track have some great support!

DESERT NATIONALS 2024

After much deliberation, we have decided to move the Desert Nationals to the 24th – 25th August 2024. The main reason for this is to get away from the cold weather.

This will be the week before the Red CentreNATS (RCN), noting that this was our decision and RCN had no influence on the move. In saying that, they are very supportive of the date change. They can also see the opportunity to get more racers for our Desert Nationals as well as the RCN.

It will be quite different racing styles between the two events, with our traditional elimination rounds, with our normal brackets, and then RCN normally with Chicago shootout and ET brackets.

This was a hard choice to make with a lot of factors involved. Our biggest worry is the strain on our awesome volunteers as they will be going hard two weekends in a row. We are also hoping to attract more racers to both events, and to lower some of our track prep costs.

We are still working on some logistics with NT Major Events regarding camping options between events. Please feel free to hit me up if you would like somewhere to store transporters/trailers for the week in between so you can do some sightseeing around this beautiful part of the world.

Our local speedway normally has sprint cars on mid-week, along with local car club Aces & Eights holding a cruise. The town is abuzz with hot rods, muscle cars and street machines, so lock in for RCN as there are some pretty cool cars cruising around that normally couldn’t cruise the streets. We as a club/track are trying our hardest to make the long miles travelling worth as much as possible. For those that don’t know much about RCN, have a look at their website, the racing is under the Heavy Hitters section.

Local Alice racers, if you have room for transporters or event teams or volunteers, please let us know. Our local hospitality always helps in making the interstaters feel as welcome as possible. (we’re all mates until we’re on the start line 😊)

What a night.
Had a small break but thanks to Ashley Gillatt to getting us fixed before the finals.
Genevieve is all licensed and ran next to her sister for the first time (Annalyse won it on a double breakout).
Annalyse made it to the finals, but broke out running an 8.39 (faster than class limits... Oops)
