💜 TEACHERS, BE OUR GUEST! 💜

One thing we’ve heard on repeat from our students this week is just how excited they’ve been telling their teachers, educators and carers about the Showcase! 🥹✨

So we thought… why not invite them?!

If you’re one of our students’ daycare educators, kinder teachers, school teachers or carers, we’d LOVE you to come along for FREE as our special guest and see what they’ve been working so hard on. 💃📣

Sometimes the people cheering our kids on extend well beyond their families, and we’d love to have those special people in the audience too. 💕

No ticket needed! Just tell us at the door that you’re one of our special teacher guests. 🌟

Our Dindi Dance & Cheer Showcase is almost here! 💜

A few important reminders for Saturday:

⏰ Student drop-off: 10:15am
🎟️ Doors open for ticket holders: 10:40am
🌟 Showtime: 11:00am

HAIR
🩰 Dancers: Low bun where possible
📣 Cheer: High pony where possible

UNIFORMS
Please arrive in your full performance uniform and ready to go.

If your child is performing in both Dance AND Cheer, please arrive dressed for Dance first. We’ll help them change for Cheer later.

🍿 Snacks will be provided for all performers.

👗 COSTUME SALE – $20!

We’ll also have a TONNE of costumes and dress-ups available to purchase on the day for just $20 each!

Every dollar raised will go towards our Community Steps Scholarship Program, helping local students access classes by covering class fees and uniforms. 💜

YEA SHOWCASE CHEER UPDATE 📣

We’ve heard you 💜

While we would have loved for our Yea Primary and Kinder Cheer group to rehearse on stage ahead of the showcase, particularly so the children could familiarise themselves with the performance space, we understand that travelling to Alexandra for rehearsal is difficult for our Yea families.

Because of this, Yea Primary and Kinder Cheer rehearsal will remain at our usual Yea location and usual time. We’ll do our very best to make sure their transition onto the stage on showcase day is safe, smooth and seamless.

Please note this change applies to Yea only. Alexandra dress rehearsals will still take place at the showcase venue as planned.

📸 SHOWCASE DRESS REHEARSALS ARE COMING! 💜✨

The week before our Dindi Cheer & Dance Showcase, each class will attend a dress rehearsal at Alexandra Shire Hall.

Monday 7th September - Yea Cheer Class
Tuesday 8th September - Ballet and Tap and Glow and Grow
Wednesday 9th September - Yea Mini Movers, Alex Mini Movers and Primary Cheer Alexandra
Thursday 10th September - Tiny Tots and Dance Evolution

This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to become familiar with the venue, practise on the stage, and build confidence before the big performance. 🌟

We’ll also have a professional photographer at the rehearsal to capture each child in their showcase costume.

As a special thank you for being part of our showcase, every performing student will receive a professionally printed individual photo at no extra cost. This keepsake is included as part of your showcase ticket purchase and is our gift to your family. 💜

🎟️ To help us prepare for the day, we need to know how many guests will be attending to support your student.

📣 A little request for our final weeks of term! 💜

With our Showcase getting very close, we’re asking parents and carers to please refrain from sitting in on classes for the remainder of the term.

There are two very important reasons:

✨ We want to keep some elements of the Showcase a surprise! The kids have been working hard and we’d love for you to experience what they’ve been preparing for the first time on Showcase day.

✨ We really need their focus in these final few weeks. There’s lots to polish, practise and prepare, and having the studio as a kids-and-teachers-only space helps us make the most of every lesson.

We’d also really appreciate it if you could let us know in advance if your child won’t be attending any of their remaining sessions before the Showcase. This helps our teachers plan formations, routines and rehearsals around who will be there.

Thank you so much for helping us make these last few weeks count. We can’t wait for you to see what they’ve been working on! 💜✨

Thank you for sharing your feedback on our change of date proposition.

This is confirming we WILL NOT be changing the day.

We do however, propose we hold the showcase earlier in the day to allow for families to attend other local sporting events in the afternoon.

Would a 10.15am- 10.30am performer arrival for a 11:00am showtime start be suitable?

🚨 URGENT SHOWCASE INFORMATION – PLEASE READ 🚨

**No changes are made as is yet **

We need some quick feedback from our Dindi Dance & Cheer families regarding our upcoming showcase.

Quite a few mums and dads have reached out to let us know that our local football and netball clubs have had a fantastic season and are looking likely to be playing finals on the same day as our showcase.

We know many of our families are involved across both, and we want to give as many of our dancers, parents and extended families as possible the opportunity to attend.

We are proposing moving the showcase by ONE DAY:

Saturday 12 September → Sunday 13 September

All times, tickets and other arrangements would remain exactly the same.

Before we make any changes, we need to hear from you.

Would your family be able to attend on Sunday 13 September?

Alternatively, we could have our concert earlier in the day to allow community members to attend the games later in the day.

Please comment YES if Sunday works for your family, or send us a private message if the change would cause an issue.

No changes have been made yet. We’ll review the feedback from our families before making a final decision. 💜
