💦💚 WATER TRUCK UPDATE — PART TWO: THE FINAL REVEAL! 💚💦

What a weekend at Alexandra Speedway! 🛠️🏁

Our working bee weekend is underway, and we can’t thank everyone enough who has come up, rolled up their sleeves and lent a hand. From the big jobs to all those little jobs that make a huge difference, the track is looking AMAZING! 🙌💚

And now, it’s time for the FINAL WATER TRUCK REVEAL! 🚛💦

The truck is officially COMPLETE! 🎉

A massive thank you to every single person and business who contributed, helped out, supplied materials, put in the hours or supported this project along the way. This truck wouldn’t be what it is without you, and we genuinely can’t thank you enough for helping make it happen for our club. ❤️

🔧🧹 **ALEXANDRA SPEEDWAY WORKING BEE – THIS SATURDAY & SUNDAY!** 🧹🔧

We’re heading to the track this weekend to get Alexandra Speedway looking its best, and we need YOUR help! 💪🏁

There’s plenty to do, from mowing and spraying weeds to tidying up around the venue, and every helping hand makes a difference.

🌿 **GOT A WHIPPER SNIPPER? BRING IT ALONG!** 🌿

If you’ve got one sitting in the shed, bring it down and help us tackle the overgrown areas!

🍔 **IMPORTANT:** If you’re planning on coming down to lend a hand, please let us know beforehand so we can organise food to keep everyone fuelled throughout the day!

Whether you can spare a couple of hours or the whole weekend, we’d love to see you there.

Speedway is built on volunteers, and our track doesn’t look after itself. Let’s get together, get stuck in and get Alexandra Speedway ready for another great season! 🏁❤️

🏁 WORKING BEE – SATURDAY 17TH & SUNDAY 18TH OCTOBER 🏁

We’ve got a big list of jobs to get through around the speedway and we’re asking our drivers, members, volunteers, families and supporters to come down and lend a hand! 💪

There’s plenty to d; from mowing, whipper snipping and cleaning, to getting the fences, gates, corporate boxes, canteen, toilets, showers, playground and track areas ready for the season.

Every set of hands makes a difference, and the more people we have, the quicker we can get through everything. 🧹🔧🏁

🏕️ CAMPING AVAILABLE
Camping is available Friday and Saturday nights for anyone who wants to come down early or stay overnight.

🍔 LUNCH PROVIDED
Please let us know if you’ll be attending so we can organise enough lunch for everyone.

Whether you can help for a couple of hours, the whole day, or both days, we’d love to see you there!

Come down, get stuck in, have a laugh and help us get the speedway looking its best for the season ahead. 🏁🧡

🔥 ALEXANDRA SPEEDWAY WORKING BEE 🔥

📅 October 17–18th

Many hands make light work! 💚

With our GO GREEN FOR 50 fast approaching, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get Alexandra Speedway looking its absolute best.

Whether you can spare a couple of hours, a full day, or make a weekend of it and camp out with the crew, we’d love to have you there. Every helping hand makes a difference.

Jobs to tackle include:

* Wash and clean cars & trucks (inside and out)
* Clean out push car sheds (cobwebs and rubbish)
* Paint the wall
* Paint the Tims tree green (Tim Miller to confirm which one)
* Tidy and refresh the corporate boxes
* Deep clean and reorganise the canteen
* Deep clean shower and toilet cubicles
* Clean, tidy (if enough spare paint) the scrutineering bay
* General rubbish clean-up around the property
* Tidy the sign-in shed, pit gate box and front gate box
* Move the compound fence at pit exit and block pit access (adding a spare gate if possible)
* Re-clip and repair fencing wire around the track
* Measure up the new merch shack
* Mow lawns and the infield
* W**d spraying
*Fix speakers
*Check shed wiring
* …and plenty more!

Bring along:

If you’ve got a spare mower, broom, shovel, whipper snipper, duster, cleaning supplies, paint brushes, or any handy tools, bring them along. If you have spare paint or items that we can use for repairs please let us know! Even if all you can bring is yourself, we’d love to have you there.
