Knights of the Empire Germanica Medieval German Re-enactment High Middle Ages. The Knights of the Empire Germanica Inc. Contact via this page or email [email protected]

We are a Brisbane & Armidale based re-enactment group depicting the Germanic Knights, Clerics & people of the Holy Roman Empire. (KEG) strive to portray the Knights and Germanic people of the Holy Roman Empire from the late 12th Century through to the end of the 15th century, with a particular focus on the ‘Order of the House of St. Mary of the Germans in Jerusalem’, commonly referred to as the ‘T

eutonic Order’ and its history, arms, armour, Rules & Statutes. With assistance, group members are encouraged to develop a persona & create a living historical impression of either a member of the Teutonic Order, a Cleric, a Germanic Land Holder or Peasant during times of peace, war or Pilgrimage. For over 20 years, KEG has been a welcome participant in many Australian & Queensland Historical Events & Festivals including the Abbey Medieval Festival & History Alive. Research & authenticity are integral to KEG’s living history displays, depictions & battle re-enactments of the Teutonic Order & Germanic people. This can only be achieved by utilising arms, armour, textiles & furnishings which have been carefully crafted as historically accurate as possible within the constraints of modern society. KEG encourages within its membership, and the wider community, the concept of chivalry and the values of honour and loyalty whilst endeavouring to raise each person’s self-esteem, confidence and acceptance in a welcoming, inclusive and like-minded community. Above all, being a member of KEG is about enjoying yourself whilst exploring history!

Like a mighty medieval battle, you broke down our defenses and stormed the Castle of Ticketebo. Within mere hours, Abbeystowe was conquered and the Festival weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is now completely sold out.

Brave warriors that you are, who persevered through the battle to take ownership of all the tickets of the weekend, claiming your stake to the lands on which we meet on the 11th-12th July.

For those in fear of missing your chance, our Friday Family Fun Day is still available, however it is quickly selling fast.

We thank you good and noble people for your support and patience with these modern technologies. We know it was a difficult feat and we have noted in our scrolls for future improvements.
