What a great day it was for the 9th Annual Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim starting with a stunning sunrise and perfect ocean swimming conditions. We hope everyone had a great swim and we will see you again next year. We hope to get more photos to share later.

Now that May is over with all the rain gone it's time to concentrate on the 9th Annual Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim. This is the first day of winter and look at the beach at Alexandra Headland - simply stunning with water temperature of 23 degrees , Ocean Swimming does not get any better than this.

Come and join our Ambassador Susie Maroney at this great Community Event the Solstice Swim on Sunday June 21st.

Pick your distance 500m, 1klm, 3klm or 5klm and this year as the day falls on the Winter Solstice we have introduced a 50m dash for novices to get wet.

This is the major fundraising event of the year for the Alexandra Headland Rotary Club with all proceeds going back into the local community.
