Today, Sunday 11/07/21, the Aldinga Bay Croquet Club played in the final of the Fleurieu Pennant against Victor Harbor Blue. What brave souls the weather was not the best, a cold wind blew threatening to rain at any moment. Unfortunately for us the day belonged to Victor winning 5 games to 1 making them the winners and us runner-ups. Well done Victor.

It's been some time since I posted on our site mainly due to this covid thing. Not able to travel and mix with others but slowly we are getting back to some normality. The photos shown here is of a coaching session held last Tuesday and those of you who have followed us would recognize the coach. Jim our captain, although his illness prevents him playing anymore he's a great coach and passing his knowledge on to the rest of us. Everyone there came away pleased with the session and looking forward to the next one. Next week several of the members will play at Brighton, Gala Day. March 10 the club will host a come-an-try day, an early one got cancelled because of the virus. There are several matches coming up and I will to do my best to cover them. Ken

On Saturday 22 June the 9+ team entered the fray once again with their first game in Weekend Pennants since COVID It was a beautiful afternoon with the sun blessing our endeavours, and we did it justice with a win. Against North Adelaide we played a close match. The result was 3 games to Aldinga and 2 games to North Adelaide with the final match drawn at 2 hoops all. Everyone played their best for at least one game so we all left in a buoyant mood and celebrated with a Counter Tea on the way home. Next match in August. - Carolyn Cooper 0427831642

It's been a while since our last posting. No major events have taken place in the past few months mainly due to this coro 19 bug. Our membership decided that it was best for all concerned so we closed the courts. Now with the easing of restrictions the committee has decided that as from next Wednesday 20th. we will resume play but under strick guidelines.
Players must first register their interest in playing, with Kay, follow all the guide lines posted on the wall and remember to keep the " personal distancing ". A some stage this will end and we can return to some normality so untill then keep safe. Thanks ABCC.
